Zumo Learning System Gives Kids a Fun Way to Engage with STEM Topics
School has just started here, and my kids have been tired this week. Aside from all the back to school fun, new activities, and spending time with friends they missed over the summer, they’re worn out! Of course part of that problem is combating the “brain drain” that happens over summer, despite our best intentions. You know how it is: no matter what kind of educational activities we give our children during the summer, it’s still a time of fun and relaxation, and it can take a few weeks to get back into a good rhythm once school picks up in September.
To help fight brain drain during school breaks and to help children get back in the swing of things in school, I hope you’ll check out the Zumo Learning System!
The Zumo Learning System is a fun new way to provide an accessible learning environment for children of all abilities. Zumo is especially great for making STEM subject areas fun for learners, which is something I’m always happy to see. Zumo is designed for K-3rd graders for learning in both the home and the classroom.
This system includes a suite of apps, including a variety of learning games connected to a wireless smart toy (an adorable turtle named Zumo). These apps and Zumo communicate via special technology that maps physical movements to touch screen gestures. Apps can be customized to fit the learning style or special needs of any child, making it the perfect tool.
Here’s a great look at how the system works:
Let’s talk about the apps suite and fun games that come with the Zumo system! The apps cover Pre-Readiness Math, Math, and STEM Reading, with several fun choices for each subject area. Learners can jump from the STEM Storiez reading app to the Zyro Math City Count app with ease! No matter which app you choose, you’ll be happy to know every app covers different learning styles, like visual, auditory, tactile, and thinking. That’s one of my favorite features, actually. Recognizing your child’s learning style and abilities is a key to helping them succeed. Math games are included with the Zumo Learning System, and there are also different play experiences available in apps already available on iTunes.
When learners use the Zumo system, they can use their cute turtle friend Zumo to engage with the apps. By touching, tapping, and pressing points on the turtle they can control and work their way through the digital activities.
I love the Zumo Learning System; it’s such a clever way for children of all learning styles and motor abilities to have fun with STEM! It’s also a great time to buy Zumo. Until October 31, the full Zumo Learning System (including a 7” tablet, Zumo wireless turtle, and games) is on sale for a special back-to-school promotional price of $159.99 (the regular price is $299.00, so this is a steal!). To learn more and purchase Zumo, visit ZumoLearning.com and Amazon.com. You can also follow Zumo on Facebook and Twitter to stay on top of new features and sales.

This is a great learning tool. I know my neice would enjoy this. We are big turtle fans in our house, too!

I am very happy to hear that finally someone came out with a learning app which covers different learning styles, like visual, auditory, tactile, and thinking. Not every child learns the same way. I know auditory never worked for me–and still doesn’t.
Because we all have different styles of learning, finding a program that can address these styles is very important. This looks like a great system.
Omg! How fun is this?!?! I bet you my four year old
Would love playing with this! I will have to look
More into getting her one!

We love helping our kids learn and this makes learning fun. I like that it fits the learning style or special needs of any child too.
