The Jurassic Period Gets Animated with StikBot Dinos

Are you familiar with StikBot?  We’ve mentioned StikBot a few times before, but I’ll give you a quick reminder of what they’re all about.  To put it simply, they’re poseable figures that have little suction cups on their hands and feet.  This allows you to attach them to any flat surface while keeping them posed in any position you want.  Why?  So you can make your own stop-motion movies!  To make the process easy for you, they have a nifty (and free) little app called Zing Studio.

StikBot offers a bunch of studios and movie sets to help give your films more variety, and their are loads of options for figures too, from pets to monsters.  They’ve recently expanded their line to include the ever-popular dinosaur category, and if you ask my son, they couldn’t have done it soon enough.

StikBot Mega Dinos come in three varieites:  StikBrontosaurus, StikCarnotaurus, and StikT-REX.

I think they’re kind of cute, but my son insists they’re ferocious beasts.  He sets up elaborate dinosaur battles, while in my mind, they’re the happy companions of his other StikBot figures.  When you’re making your own movies, you can give your characters any personality you like, and that, my friends, is the beauty of StikBot.  Let your imagination run wild, create original stories, and if you want, share your animation with the world—or at least with your friends.  (Don’t forget to use #StikBot on social media.)

You don’t necessarily need to go all out and create a full video every time you want to interact with your StikBots.  It’s fun to pose them and take still images sometimes, and to be honest, my son like to play with the figures all by themselves.  He poses them, then he sticks them to things and they stay in place.  None of his other figures do that.  When you are in the mood to film your figures, you can create elaborate scenes with anything you have around the house.  If you want something more formal, one of the packaged StikBots sets will do the trick.  And they just happen to have a new Dino Movie Set to go along with their new Mega Dinos.  Go ahead and mix and match though; it’s even more interesting that way.

StikBot Dino Eggs, as you can see, are eggs.  What’s inside each egg is a mystery until you crack one open.  There are 24 different dinosaurs in the set, including these little guys:

Maybe you’ll get lucky and open up a rare or ultra-rare!  Whichever dinosaur is in your egg, it will add some fierceness to your animation collection.  Kids absolutely love the anticipation that leads up to opening these blind toys, the surprise at finding out what’s in side, and collecting a zillion small toys.  What I like about these Dino Eggs, is that they can be used like regular StikBots, so they aren’t just another small figurine.  The eggs are the perfect size for a stocking stuffer too!
