Surprizamals Swap Playdate + a Chance to Win 3 of These Cuties!
When it comes to plush toys, you can find just about anything you want. Whether you’re looking for a stuffed dog, a teddy bear, a dragon, or even a plush version of your favorite superhero, chances are you won’t have to look very far to find one. I think that’s great, and I love knowing that such a large variety of options are available.
That said, sometimes I feel like a plush toy ends up being the default option when you’re looking for a gift for a child you don’t know very well. You can rely on the safety of a teddy bear no matter how little you know about a kiddo, but, not surprisingly, kids can accumulate a ton of teddy bears they may not love over the years.
The folks at Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company thought about this and came up with an awesome idea for gifting and collecting plush toys without getting “stuck” with one you don’t like: Surprizamals!
Surprizamals are adorable little stuffed animals that are, as the name suggests, a bit of a surprise. They’re actually packed into a colorful ball called a Surprizaball, and you can’t see what you’re getting until you pop it open. That surprise in itself is fun for kids, but there’s something even better about Surprizamals: they’re meant to be traded with friends! Here’s how it works:
We recently had a Surprizamals swap playdate with my two children and three of their friends (so 5 kids and 5 Surprizaballs). Each Surprizaball contains a stuffed animal with a set of coordinating stickers. After all the kids opened their ball and everyone had a good look at all the animals, they started to trade! Some of them traded stuffed animals (there was an elephant traded for a lion), while some of the kids decided to keep the animals they got and trade their stickers instead (my daughter and her friend did this).
I liken this to those 25-cent toy machines outside stores when I was a kid. There was such joy in getting that little plastic egg and opening it up to see what treasure awaited me, and then having a trading session with my friends. But Surprizamals are way better!
Right now there are 12 super cute Surprizamals to collect, and that number will grow exponentially this year: Series Two launches this fall and will introduce a whopping 60 new characters, including Wackies, Cuties, and Mini Surprizamals. Also, three of the current Surprizamals are considered rare, and one is ultra-rare; this makes opening up that Surprizaball more exciting for kids.
I think these little guys are a lot of fun, and so did all the kids at our swap playdate. I love the mystery and surprise, and watching the kids barter was so fun. With a price of $4.99, these could be a great party favor for a small party, and would even add a fun event to the celebration.
At present, you can purchase Surprizamals exclusively at StuffedAnimals.com. You can learn all about the 12 available characters and view a collector’s guide at Surprizamals.com.
The Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company is giving YOU a chance to win 3 Surprizamals. You could host your own playdate! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and older. Ends 6/29/16 at 11 AM ET. Good luck!
