Super Gifts for a Hero of a Dad
June has found us already, and that means Father’s Day will be here soon. Dad is the hero around our house, and I bet you feel the same way about yours. Dads like superheroes, and dads are superheroes, so why not show him we think so with some fun superhero-themed gifts this year?
Superman is one of the most well known of the superheroes, and he’s certainly a favorite in our household. My husband and I were already looking forward to seeing the new Man of Steel, but Walmart has an offer that’s going to make this an extra special Father’s Day gift. The movie officially opens on June 14th, but if you purchase your tickets in the Electronics Department of any Walmart store, you can attend a screening at specified theaters on June 13th at 7 PM.
Not only do you get early access to what is sure to be an amazing movie, but you also get an exclusive digital comic book written by David S. Goyer, the author of Man of Steel, in addition to an exclusive opportunity to pre-order an HD digital download or Blu-Ray copy of the film. What a fun way to celebrate Father’s Day and kick off the summer! Yes, I’m sure getting to be one of the first to see this movie will make my husband smile, and it’s a convenient, affordable gift option for me.
Check out the Man of Steel trailer; it will definitely get you in the spirit of the occasion.
If that’s not enough Superman for your Super Dad, there are a lot of neat, inexpensive Superman-themed gifts that would be great accompaniment to the Man of Steel tickets. Here are just a handful of examples:
Superman Character Apron – So Dad can show everyone that he’s a super griller
Superman Ceramic Travel Mug – So Dad can take his super coffee anywhere he goes
Superman Comfy Throw with Sleeves – So Dad can get super relaxed and still look super
Superman Ceramic Cookie Jar – So Dad has a super place to store his favorite treats
Superman Mr. Potato Head – Because it’s a Superman Mr. Potato Head
I think it’s such a fun idea to buy gifts that all fit a certain theme, and this theme seems just right for Father’s Day. Now I have to keep my husband from looking at my blog until after the holiday. I just hope my kids can keep a secret!
Purchase tickets to the exclusive pre-screening of Man of Steel [PG-13] on June 13th, 2013 at 7 PM at your local Walmart! Tickets can be purchased in the Electronics Department and include an exclusive digital comic book written by David S. Goyer, author of “Man of Steel”, as well as an exclusive opportunity to pre-order an HD digital download or Blu-Ray copy of the film.
- Go to your local Walmart
- Visit the electronics department
- Purchase your EXCLUSIVE Man of Steel pre-screening tickets (available in 2D or 3D)
- Take your family to the theater location noted on your ticket and watch the EXCLUSIVE 7 p.m. premiere of Man of Steel on June 13th!

We cannot wait for this movie to come out. My husband actually requested that he get tickets to see Man of Steel for Father’s Day. So I figured I could get tickets for him and his father to go together. But I think adding the apron or cookie jar to his gift would be the perfect way to tie everything together.
