Sunsella Mighty Pops: Mighty Fun to Make Your Own! (Giveaway)
Ice pops from the ice cream truck are one of my favorite summertime treats, and whenever I hear the music box-like jingle echoing from the ice cream truck rolling into my neighborhood, it always brings me back to my childhood (and I almost always have a few dollars on hand to buy a treat or two for the kids).
Well, the times are a-changing. Those days visiting the ice cream truck may be less frequent, as we just started a new summertime tradition – making our own ice cream, yogurt, pudding and ice pops! Sunsella gave me the opportunity to review Mighty Pops silicone ice pop makers.
The design is nothing short of awesome: the pack of FDA-approved Mighty Pops silicone molds come in 6 assorted colors, they are BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and are shaped in a fun push-pop shape (my daughter’s favorite kind, and minimal mess to clean up for me, hehe). Since the pop maker is made from silicone, it’s reusable. Each mold comes with its own cap, so if we don’t finish all of the treat at once, we can just pop it back in the freezer. So cool! I like there is no waste, it’s environmentally-friendly, and we decide what goes into the pop (instant pudding, jam, fruit juice, yogurt, fruit purees, peanut butter, chocolate, gelatin, sherbet – the possibilities are endless!). My family controls the ingredients, so we can feel good about eating our frosty creations too! How can the ice cream man compete with that?
My little ice pop chefs had a blast concocting strawberry banana yogurt pops with real strawberry and banana pieces blended together, but my oldest daughter also requested strawberry lemonade pops, and then changed her mind and wants to try cherries and vanilla ice cream pops next. I cannot wait to try what my kids’ imaginations think up next! As for me, I think I’ll have a strawberry chocolate pudding pop….or an orange mango smoothie pop….or a chocolate and peanut butter bar…or an apple-tini pop (hey, it’s not just for kids, right?).
You can find Sunsella Mighty Pops on Amazon for just $11.99.
