Have you ever noticed that most of the hair care products made for kids are designed to appeal more to the children than the parents? It makes sense; sometimes bath time and hair-washing time is an unpleasant experience for kiddos, so it’s logical to make a product that smells good and looks fun to children, but has features parents want (for example, products that aren’t riddled with chemicals).
I recently tried the SoCozy Cinch Collection with my daughter, and it definitely has something to satisfy both of us.
The SoCozy Collection is brand new, and it’s the first ever line of salon-quality hair care for children. SoCozy provides non-toxic and clean formulas made just for the little people.
SoCozy’s Collection is also multi-functional. We tried out the Cinch line, which includes a 3-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash, a Super Hydrating Conditioner, and a Detangler + Leave-In Conditioner. I especially like having a 3-in-1 product to use in the tub, because fewer bottles means an easier and quicker turn around for kids in a hurry to finish the hair-washing part of bath time.
For my daughter’s hair, we used both the 3-in-1 product and the hydrating conditioner, and here is the result:
Shiny, right? I’m jealous. I did have to use a generous amount of the hydrating conditioner. If your kids have long, thick, or just particularly unruly hair, you may need to apply liberally.
As for the Detangler + Leave-In Conditioner, this stuff might be a miracle worker. My daughter has long hair and gets tons of little tangles in her hair overnight. If you’ve ever brushed a child’s hair, you know that big tangles are bad enough, but tons of those little ones that snag can make brushing miserable. Here’s a before-and-after (fresh out of bed and after using the detangler). It’s a huge difference, and it definitely speeds up the process (great for those busy mornings).
The products themselves come in bottles with bold, bright lettering your kids will love, and they have a mildly fruity scent, but it’s not overwhelming like many children’s hair products can be. It’s really quite pleasant. Of course, my favorite part is that the SoCozy Collection is all non-toxic, and is free of: parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol, gluten, wheat, and nuts.
If you’d like to check out the SoCozy line yourself, hop over to SoCozy.com! You can also keep up with them on Twitter and Facebook.

my daughter is a lice magnet, even in Jr High she managed to get it and in grade school it was terrible 🙁 so we like to be prepared… the Boo! Lice shampoo sounds great and would definitely be something she’d use to scare the lice far, far away from her.
I learned that the company is located in New York City, New York.
