Guess what my family and I did over the weekend. We watched Sing 2! My kids have been looking forward to this for a long time, and I can’t deny that I was just as excited about it. And let me tell you—it was well worth the wait.
Sing 2 arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as the ever-optimistic Buster Moon and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …all in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by global music icon Bono, in his animated film debut—to join them.
With more than 40 contemporary and classic hit songs, electrifying performances and breathtaking artistry, Sing 2 serves as an emotional reminder about the importance of dreaming big and the power of music to heal.
Sing 2 features all of the characters audiences fell in love with in the first film, plus additional characters played by music superstars Pharrell Williams and Halsey, actors Bobby Cannavale and Letitia Wright, and comedians Eric André and Chelsea Peretti.
You might have seen commercials already, but I suggest watching the trailer either way. It’s just too fun not to.
Okay, so maybe fun doesn’t quite describe everything Sing 2 is. It’s an emotional and heartwarming journey, and yes, I did tear up a few times. But I promise that it’s also full of laughs! As much as I enjoyed the first Sing, I though this sequel was doubly entertaining. By the end, my cheeks were aching, and who couldn’t use a good chuckle these days?
Sing 2 will be in theaters starting December 22nd! This movie is the perfect holiday treat for the family, so don’t wait.
