Shop Better with BJ’s Pick Up & Pay
This post is brought to you by BJ’s. All opinions are 100% my own.
For as long as I’ve been grocery shopping, I’ve been a BJ’s member. There are a few different warehouse store options where I live, but I’ve stuck with BJ’s because they’ve always offered the most conveniences. Unlike other stores, their aisles are clearly labeled, I can use my credit card, and they not only take coupons, but they provide you with a lot of their own high value coupons. Plus, they always seem to have the best selection of the things I want buy. Shopping there has been a pleasure, but now they have a new service that makes being a BJ’s customer better than ever: BJ’s Pick Up & Pay.
If you’re a parent (or any busy person), I don’t have to tell you that every minute counts. Time savers aren’t just appreciated, they’re necessary. For this reason, I’ve embraced the online shopping revolution, but there are times when I prefer to pick up at the store. I can’t always plan ahead, and when you need toilet paper, you need toilet paper. With Pick Up & Pay, you can place your order online and pick up your purchase instead of waiting for it to be shipped to you. The process couldn’t be more simple.
How to Use BJ’s Pick Up & Pay Service
- Sign into your account at BJs.com, select your club, and reserve your items.
- When your order is ready, you’ll receive an email. (Orders placed before 1 PM are ready the same day.)
- Head to BJ’s to pick up your order and pay.
A BJ’s team member will hand pick the items in your order and place them in a cart that will be waiting for you at the Member Services desk. You can do this for all dry goods and general merchandise, and yes, you can still use your coupons.
One night after putting the kids to bed, I sat down at the computer and placed my order. It was ready for pick up early the next morning, so I dropped off the kids at school, and headed right to the store. When I got there, I picked up a few additional items, like milk and eggs, and then paid for everything all at once. BJ’s did most of the work for me, so I was in and out of the store in just a few minutes. It was beautiful.
That’s all fantastic just as it is, but perhaps my favorite aspect of Pick Up & Pay is that I can place an order online for my husband to pick up on his way home from work. Again, it’s very helpful to me, and now I’m guaranteed that he won’t come home with the wrong brand of toilet paper. Oh wait, that’s my second favorite thing. There’s an even better advantage to Pick Up & Pay: not having to spend any more time in the store with two little kids than is necessary. Shopping with young children is challenging at best, and I welcome anything that makes it easier.
BJ’s is spoiling me with their amazing service, and I feel pretty okay with that. I still get the great value on quality products that I’m used to, but now I’m saving time too and don’t have to wait for anything to be delivered. And I love that they communicate with you via email the entire way through, so there is never a question about what’s happening with your order.
Not a BJ’s member yet? Now through Sunday, July 3rd, BJ’s is offering you two ways to join and save. You can get a free 90-day membership or get a 15-month membership for just $40, plus a coupon book with more than $2,000 worth of savings. Simply print the coupon and take it to your local BJ’s to activate.

This sounds like an amazing service! I have never heard of Bjs Wholesale Club before, thank you so much for sharing! 🙂
I’ve never shopped here before. Love this service!
BJ’s is great. I don’t understand those other places that don’t let you use your credit card.
My husband never brings the right stuff home. This is perfect.
Okay, you’ve gotten me to try out this service! I do have to admit that strolling through BJ’s is actually exciting to me, even with 1 little one in tow, but I don’t always have time to do so. And with the summer coming quickly, it’ll be far easier when I have to deal with all 3 to just get in and out. Plus, that membership offer is a fantastic deal!

I love that they offer this. This could make my life a lot easier!
I love that you can reserve your items and then stop by to pick them up! How convenient!
We don’t have BJs in our area but I think with the services they offer, they would give our local warehouse stores a run for their money!

Sadly no BJ’s around here. If there were, I would certainly use this service!

I would love use this service , especially on busy weeknights. I wish some grocery stores would offer it. There is no BJ”s in Tucson.
With five kids I love that there is store pick up like this!! So much easier then taking the kids through the store!

I think this is a great idea. I often have my children with me when I grocery shop and it makes it difficult with a toddler running around. So much easier just to pay and go.
Super service for those of us with limited time!
I like that you can pick up your items at the service desk
I’ve never shopped here before. But this service sounds great !
Hi Denise,
My job is very demanding so I barely have any time during the day. Your post is so useful because this is the first time hearing about BJ’s and I really like what the store offers. Thank you for the review!

I need to tell my daughter-in-law about this! Her boys are so impatient when she goes shopping
Unfortunately, we don’t have any of these in our area. I would have loved to shop there!
I’ve thought about getting a shopping card with them. It doesn’t make sense for me, because there are only two of now.
