Prize Coffee Cake Recipe
Coffee cake is the perfect addition to any brunch or breakfast spread, and it’s not a bad choice for an after-dinner dessert either. My grandma had a recipe that she would make when we were expecting company or she wanted to give us a special treat on a lazy Sunday morning. I can still remember how the smell of it baking would draw us into the kitchen in anticipation. As soon as the cake came out of the oven, we would all gather around for a slice (or two). I’m excited to share her scrumptious recipe with you today!
This simple yet delicious classic coffee cake recipe has been passed down from generation to generation in our family, and it’s become my go-to dessert whenever I want something special and comforting. It’s ideal for your next gathering or just for a cozy day at home and pairs perfectly with a cup of tea or freshly brewed coffee. Even the youngest children can help mix up the ingredients and spread that cinnamon sugar topping, so I encourage you to make this a family affair. You probably already have most of these ingredients in your cabinets or pantry, so let’s get baking!
