Powerful Water Blasters from Buzz Bee Toys + Giveaway

If there is one thing my kids NEVER tire of, it’s chasing each other around the yard and shooting each other with water blasters.  They have some really elaborate battles, all of which are punctuated with laughter that fills the neighborhood.  It’s a joy just to watch it, but it’s even better to join in.

We keep a small stockpile of water guns for when we want to play together and/or the kids have friends over.  Buzz Bee Toys sent us two new ones for us to try out, and they’ve made an awesome addition to our little collection.

First up, we’ve got the Water Warriors Steady Stream X.  Like the name says, it shoots a continuous stream of water thanks to an internal performance spring.  This makes it not only great for hitting targets at distances up to 38 feet, but you can seriously drench a person at a closer range.  The trigger is for show and perhaps comfort, and the water is instead released solely through a pumping action.  (I always prefer an all-pump type of gun since it gives my tired index finger a break.)  Combine a reservoir that holds 30 oz. of water with it’s longer soaking power, and your opponents don’t stand a chance!  The Steady Stream X is recommended for kids 4 and up, and it retails for just $9.99.  Find it at Kmart.

The second blaster is the Water Warriors Outlaw.  Of all the water guns we’ve ever had, this air pressure blaster might just be my favorite.  I like it so much that I can even overlook the fact that it uses a trigger.  It holds a whopping 48 oz. and is somehow still light and easy to handle even for my 8 and 9 year old kids.  And if you thought a shooting distance of 38 feet was impressive, prepare to be amazed: the Outlaw blasts up to 42 feet!  I haven’t actually taken out the tape measure, but I can tell you that it shoots really far.  Sometimes, we’ll forget battling and just take turns hitting far away objects.  Of course, if you do choose to battle, the Outlaw will most certainly make you a winner.  Recommended for ages 5 and up, and you can snag one of these for $11.99.  Find it at Kmart.

I can’t think of a better way to beat the heat than a water gun battle!  There’s no reason you should have to break the bank to have a good time, and at these prices, you really can’t lose with the Water Warriors Steady Stream X and Outlaw for “cool” summer fun.  I’d say Buzz Bee Toys has hit a home run with these two water blasters, and I’m looking forward trying more of the Water Warriors line in the summers to come.
