Paperless Kitchen Review: Laid Back Dish Brush Set
Do you spend a lot of time in your kitchen? I do.
Do you ever worry about the environmental impact of the tools you use in the kitchen? I do.
I was recently introduced to something that has me worrying a little less, and I hope it will do the same for you. Paperlesskitchen.com is an eco-friendly store offering greener alternatives to the kitchen tools you use every day. Their reusable and sustainable products are great alternatives to paper towels and napkins and the synthetic materials used in most kitchen tools. And you won’t have to spend hours searching through all of the products on their site trying to find the “green” ones either. Everything they offer has been carefully selected to minimize the environmental impact of our time spent in the kitchen. From mops to dinnerware to items for kids, you’ll find so many ways to green what is probably one of the most used rooms in your home. You, your kitchen, and the earth will be happier because of Paperlesskitchen.com. I promise.
And lucky me, I got to try the Laid Back Dish Brush Set by Full Circle! The comfortable handle is bamboo, and it’s finished with natural oils to withstand water. It’s quite lovely to look at, especially compared to those ugly plastic dish brushes you find at the supermarket. The bristles on this brush are made of biodegradable Bonterra, which is a plant-based plastic. PLANT-BASED PLASTIC. I didn’t even know they could do that, and I think it’s fabulous. No more nylon for me! And once those bristles get worn down, you just replace the head instead of replacing the entire brush. Why don’t they all work that way?
I’ve been using my brush for a few weeks now, and the bristles are still in good shape. They do an excellent job cleaning my dishes yet are still gentle on my more delicate items. Whenever I choose a dish brush, I make sure that it has that little ridge on the top to help you scrape off stuck-on goop, and the head on this brush has that too! The handle is longer than I’m used to, but it hasn’t hindered my ability to get the dishes as clean as a good little wifey should. After using this brush, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to the plastic scrubber that I have been using.
You get one brush and four replacement heads in the set for just $15.97. Even with shipping, that ends up being the same or a little bit cheaper than buying five of the brushes that I normally buy at the grocery store yet they’re much better for the earth. Sounds like a better deal to me! UPDATE: Shipping is now FREE at Paperlesskitchen.com! Yay! Now there really is no reason not to snatch up this deal 🙂
Paperless Kitchen is also my sponsor for the upcoming Blogorama Bonanza! Check back on October 10th for a giveaway for 10 Paperless Kitchen Skoy Cloths! I’m pretty sure your kitchen wants you to have some of those.
