OrganizHer On-the-Go Family Planner (Giveaway)
What I would like to be: A caped, superhero of a mom who is on top of her family member’s schedules, pays all of the bills early, and always crosses everything off of her daily to-do list.
What I actually am: Late for things.
Ahhh, to be organized. It’s been a dream of mine for some time now, but I really don’t have a clue what it feels like. Now that my kids are starting school and joining activities, it’s time for me to get my act together unless I want to start missing appointments and ordering take out too often. Like me, most women have too many things to do, which is why Mead created the OrganizHer line of products and sent me their On-the-Go Family Planner to share with you!
Technically, the On-the-Go Family Planner is one of OrganizHer’s scheduling products. It’s an undated, weekly-view, one-year planner designed to help you keep track of what’s going on with your family. Let’s take a look inside!
Pictured above is what you’ll see on the first two pages for each month in the planner. There, you have an undated calendar for the month, a spot to jot down things you want to remember, a to-do list, and a section for projects. My aging brain can use all the help it can get remembering things, plus I’m a list maker anyway, so these are all useful features for me.
This is my favorite part of the planner. For each week of the month, you have “Mine”, “Theirs”, and “Meals” sections to help with planning and keeping track of schedules. Lately, I find that if I don’t plan out my meals in advance, we end up eating junk, and if you knew how careful I usually am with my children’s diets, you’d understand how much that bothers me. Having somewhere official to write it down definitely helps me be prepared for the meal and makes follow through a lot more likely. The “Theirs” section is going to be so helpful once things start getting extra busy this fall and I have to worry about dropping kids off at activities for the first time. And the “Mine” section? That’s where I’ll be writing in all of the spa appointments I plan to make for when the children are at school. (Ha! I just made myself giggle.)
OrganizHer has thoughtfully included stickers so you can easily mark down events like birthdays, dentist appointments, and (ugh) tax time. I’m kind of excited about using the snow day stickers this winter! At the end of the planner, you’ll find pages where you can make note of books you’d like to read and movies you’d like to see, holidays and events for each month, and pages where you can write down the URLs to web sites that you visit regularly and your username and password information. (Hey, no peeking!) They also give you a handy, repositionable bookmark for quick access to the current week. Yep, they’ve thought of everything.
The OrganizHer On-the-Go Family Planner is great for making sense of your family’s hectic schedule, and it’s pretty too! I’m all for making function more fashionable. The size is just right; there is plenty of room to write down all of your notes, but the planner is still small enough to fit in a purse–although you might want to think twice about writing down your passwords if you plan on toting this around with you. I’m really glad OrganizHer sent me this particular product. It’s exactly what I needed, and now I’m a lot more confident that I won’t forget to bring my daughter to dance class or be late for my next massage. (Oh, I just made myself laugh again!)
This and other OrganizHer products are exclusively available at most Target stores. Visit Mead’s OrganizHer site to see how else they can help you be organized and on schedule. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with all of the latest OrganizHer news.
Enter to win your own OrganizHer On-the-Go Family Planner! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and over. Ends 8/30/2013. Good luck!
