NJ Lottery Instant Game Gifts Bring Instant Cheer
I had every intention of waiting until Thanksgiving Day to really let myself get taken in by the holiday spirit, but it’s a losing battle. Everywhere I look I see trees, lights, holly, jingle bells…well, I don’t need to tell you, I know you’re probably seeing them too. And I love it! This is my absolute favorite time of year, and I’ve decided to just throw in the towel, turn on some Christmas music, and turn into a happy little elf for the next month or so.
As you might guess, I enjoy seeing how different stores and brands embrace the holidays, and I’m excited to tell you that the New Jersey Lottery has jumped headfirst into the season with its brand new Holiday Instant Games.
New for the holidays are four instant games: $1 Holiday Luck, $2 Holiday Luck Times 10, $5 Jingle Bells, and $10 Cash in a Flash. The New Jersey Lottery sent me a variety of their new holiday games, and I’ve really enjoyed playing!
NJ Lottery Scratch Offs are so fun, and my friends and family love to exchange them. I’m really excited to have these new holiday themes for upcoming gifts; a few years ago, a cousin stuck some instant tickets into everyone’s Christmas cards, and that ended up becoming an unofficial family tradition. Every year, the adults swap tickets in cards that we open at our Christmas Eve party, and it adds a fun little twist for the grown-ups while everyone is opening their presents. Also, my husband and I will sometimes add an instant ticket to each other’s stockings; winning a little extra cash definitely makes opening your stocking even more fun.
Of course, there are plenty of ways you can let the New Jersey Lottery spice up your holiday fun! Some ideas:
- Add a ticket to a grown-up’s stocking
- Tuck a ticket into a funny holiday card
- Use a ticket as a part of a gift tag on wrapped presents
- Have a ticket at each place setting during casual holiday meals with friends
- Keep a bowl of tickets as party favors that guests can grab as they leave
- Sneak a ticket into the pocket of wrapped gifts like pants, shirts, or coats
Those are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but all it takes is a little creativity to find new, fun ways of sharing instant tickets during the holidays. They’re inexpensive, easy to find and buy, and offer entertainment on top of the joy of gift giving. Whether it’s family, friends, coworkers, or special people like babysitters, hairstylists, or personal trainers, there’s a ticket for everyone!
To grab some tickets for yourself (or a lucky gift recipient), just head over to your nearest brick and mortar lottery retailer (like 7-11, Quick Check, and Wawa). You can also get more information about the New Jersey Lottery and its new Holiday Instant Games at NJLottery.com. Happy gifting, and good luck on your next ticket!
By the way, speaking of luck – if you don’t win the first time around, there’s still hope! Every non-winning ticket can be entered into the Million Dollar Replay (MDR) second-chance drawing. Just join the NJ Lottery VIP club to get started entering your tickets.
This post was brought to you by the NJ Lottery. All opinions are my own.
You must be 18 or older to buy a lottery ticket. Parents are urged to think twice about gifting lottery tickets to children. The New Jersey Lottery reminds players, it’s only a game…remember to play responsibly. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1800-GAMBLER®.

I am obsessed with scratch offs! I never thought about buying these for family members! Starting something new this year! 🙂
These are fun! We always used to get lotto tickets in our stockings when we were in our teen years.
Joanna recently posted..Wine Cork Wreath Christmas Craft
Most of the year, I am able to resist Lottery scratch off, but Christmas time I am weak. I am always finding myself purchasing 5 in a row. If I happen to get on a lucky streak, I am even worse. I love the idea of using crafts for Lottery Scratch-offs. One of my favorites is a wreath of Scratch-offs. It is pretty and takes minimum effort to make a nice one.
As a NJ Mom I <3 this! We ALWAYS fill our stockings with lottery tickets
The gift that keeps on giving (if you win!) Haha.
I’ve seen a few people do this! I wonder if statistics show the lotto purchases go up around Christmas!
All I’m saying is…if someone gifts this to me and I win, they’d better not expect half.
We’ve received lottery tickets in Christmas cards before and we thought it’s just a wonderful idea. We may just do the same this year 🙂
My mom used to ALWAYS put scratch offs in our stockings. She hasn’t in a few years because one year I didn’t win anything and I said I’d rather have the cash haha
I use these with my coworkers when possible. It’s not easy getting gifts for them, and these are good stand bys.
It’s definitely exciting to find out what you won! I think these games would be great gifts!
My hubbys grandfather always gets us a stocking full of lotto tickets every year for Christmas!!! It’s fun to scratch them on Christmas to see if we one anything good lol
My mother and father in law love to get lottery tickets as Christmas gifts I think this year they will be getting those again. Hoping they win =)
We rarely buy lottery tickets. I think my husband has bought them once in the past year and half. My mom used to buy ones like these all the times. She loved them.
