New Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grains Breakfast Foods + Giveaway
You can walk into any major grocery store in the country and find a giant row full of different bread products. From sliced bread to bagels to English muffins and beyond, there are a million choices. I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this, but the bread aisle can be really overwhelming to me. Because I want to make sure my family gets the right grains and nutrients in their diets, it’s not as simple as just grabbing what looks good at first glance. Because I kept running into this issue and finally became frustrated, I decided to research grains to find out exactly what I should be choosing from the dozens of options in front of me.
As it turns out, sprouted grains are the way to go! I won’t get into a full botany lesson here, but basically grains that have sprouted are in a different stage of growth than the grains found in most standard breads, rices, etc. Grains that are in the “sprouted” stage are nutritionally better for you because they have undergone some changes, like the loss of some starch, and the increase of proteins, vitamins, and minerals like iron and zinc. There are plenty of resources online that explain this far better than me, so I’ll wait if you want to go research sprouted grains.
Are you back? Good. Now that you know the benefits of sprouted grains, let me share with you my favorite source of sprouted grain products: Food For Life.
Food For Life is a company that has been making wholesome, healthful, nutrient-rich baked goods since the 1960s. They have a full line of products to choose from, but I specifically want to share some new additions to their Ezekiel 4:9 line. This range of products is unrivaled in nutrition and delicious flavors. They use a special, unique combination of 6 grains and legumes, and all Ezekiel 4:9 products are loaded with the good things you want, and free of the bad things you don’t.
For example, all Ezekiel 4:9 baked goods…
- Are rated 84.3% as efficient as the highest source of protein
- Contain 18 amino acids
- Offer increased digestibility and absorption of minerals
- Host increased vitamins C and B
- Provide a great source of natural fiber
- Contain only freshly sprouted certified organic grains
- Are kosher
- Use absolutely zero flour
- Are free of all genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
- Free of refined sugars, artificial preservatives, and shortenings
- Use a unique slow-bake process to preserve natural fiber and bran benefits
Honestly, does it get much better than that? Yes, it does: they’re delicious to boot.
We’ve been fans of the Food For Life Ezekiel 4:9 line for years, and I’m happy to announce the addition of their new Sprouted Grain Flax English Muffins and Sprouted Waffles. With school starting up soon, the timing couldn’t be better. Both are organic and packed full of fiber and complete protein, so they’re a great way to start the day, and since they’re fast and easy to prepare, they’re perfect for busy mornings. The flax in the English Muffins and the soybeans in the waffles make it easy to add some Omega 3s into your diet–that’s important to us since the kids and I don’t really eat fish. With other ingredients like lentils, spelt, and millet, Ezekiel 4:9 English Muffins and Waffles are definitely different–and they’re better. They were specifically designed with your health in mind, and they both come in a variety of delicious flavors. I highly suggested checking them out next time you’re at the grocery story, and if you have a hard time locating them, try the freezer section.
I really love Food For Life’s mission and I’m determined to incorporate more sprouted grains into my family’s meals, so I’m really thrilled with the new Ezekiel 4:9 products. I think you will be, too, so make sure to drop by FoodForLife.com to learn more about their product line and to find out which stores near you carry Food For Life. You can also follow them on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on all the latest products and specials!
