Nat Geo Kids Weird But True! Mega Prize Pack Giveaway
Parent-teacher conferences were a couple of weeks ago, and I was struck by something my daughter’s teacher said to me. She told me that my daughter was different from other kids–that she knows more about the world. I have to admit that I was rather proud, and I attribute her knowledge to a few different things. We travel and try to expose our children to interesting places, things, and people, and we also strongly encourage reading. We have an impressive collection of classic children’s fiction and an equally interesting assortment of non-fiction, much of which is from National Geographic Kids.
The stuff they come up with is truly amazing, and their Weird But True! series is a prime example. Like all Nat Geo Kids books, the visuals are bold, bright, and quickly capture the attention of the reader. What really holds their attention, however, are the fascinating facts that are packed into every book. Did you know that orangutans sometimes make whistles out of leaves? Or that a six-ton potato once floated on a barge along a river in New York? Neither did I, but my daughter can tell you all about it, because she’s hooked on these books. There are over 35 titles in the line, and each one is as entertaining as it is educational.
With the release of their 10th book, things are more weird than ever, and we think that’s something to celebrate. Check out some fun facts about the Weird But True!, read about some of the books in the series, and then enter to win a mega prize pack!

My kids love books like this.
My daughter is always telling me these outrageous factoids about animals and the first couple times I would fact check her. I would always ask, “how do you even know this stuff?” Her answer…Weird but True!
The National Geographic books are terrific — high quality and the kids learn so much reading them. Fun too!
