Mojimoto: Talk Back Toys that Repeat What You Say and Lip Sync to Songs
My daughter just celebrated her 10th birthday (so crazy!), and one of the items at the very top of her wish list was a Mojimoto Toy. Not familiar with Mojimotos? Neither was I, but now I consider myself a bit of a Mojimoto expert, so I can tell you all about them.
They’re little, interactive toys that do two things: repeat what you say and lip sync. Operating them is easy; my daughter didn’t even read the directions and she figured it out on her first try.
Start by pushing the power switch to on, and then prepare yourself for some major giggling. Press the button located on the top of your Mojimoto’s head until you hear a beep, and then record your voice for up to 8 seconds. Say absolutely anything, and the character will repeat it back in a hilarious, warped voice.
My kids crack themselves up with that, but they find the lip syncing feature equally absorbing. Just give the button on top of the character’s head a quick tap to put it in lip sync mode and then turn on the music. Your Mojimoto character’s eyes and mouth will move right along with the song! Both my son and daughter like to do the singing themselves, but when they’re feeling especially goofy, they have their Mojimoto lip sync to Weird Al. It really is funny to watch.
Mojimotos are inspired by emojis, and we know how the kids love those silly things. There are eight different characters to choose from, including Blue Monkey, Golden Puppy, Cheeseburger, Taco, Rainbow Poo, Rainbow Ice Cream, Tabby Kitty, and Rainbow Unicorn. Each character works the same way, but that won’t stop your child from wanting to collect them all. They can be clipped onto a belt, backpack, or other bag, so you easily take your Mojimoto collection anywhere you go.
Mojimotos are small enough to be considered a stocking stuffer, but at about $10 a pop, I think of them more as a regular gift. They certainly have enough entertainment value to be a main present, but you can decide which option works best for you. They’re a lot of fun no matter which way you go!
My daughter is thrilled to have a Mojimoto of her own, and it’s definitely lived up to her expectations. The idea is so simple, but it provides endless fun and laughter! Find Mojimotos at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.

omg! These are so cute and fun to collect.
That cheeseburger! I must have it. Maybe I’ll share with the kids. Maybe.
I’d like to see the monkey lip syncing to Weird Al. I bet that would be hilarious.
This is super cute. My nieces would love this.
This is such a great idea. It would keep my kids entertained in the car for sure!

I remember a parrot I had while growing up with a Toy parrot. It used to repeat everything you said to it. It was the closest toy you could have. Well, except the RC car.
