Maginon 10-30×60 Hi Definition Zoom Binoculars
Thank you to Maginon for providing complimentary binoculars for review.
Winter has barely begun, and I’m already dreaming of the summertime. It’s not that I’m opposed to winter activities, but my family and I are planning a long-overdue visit to a few natural parks, and we’re very excited to connect with nature for a few weeks. We’re going to relax, explore, and we hope to encounter lots of animals too. From what I’ve read, there will be countless opportunities to spot bears, elk, bison, and more. And the birds! So many birds! Yeah, there’s plenty to see, but since I know that we can’t always get up close to the animals, and we don’t necessarily want to anyway, good binoculars are a must.
Binoculars can be really expensive, and while quality is important to us, affordability is a priority as well. While searching for a reasonably-priced set of binoculars, we came across the Maginon 10-30×60 Binoculars, and we’ve been testing them out for a few weeks.
Let’s discuss what 10-30×60 actually means. The 10-30x indicates that you can adjust these binoculars to make things appear from ten to thirty times closer. The 60 is the diameter in millimeters of the objective lenses, which are the ones that are furthest from your eyes and closest to the object. The larger the diameter, the more light is let in. With more light, you get a clearer, brighter image. That’s always going to be helpful, but it’s essential in lower-light conditions. Sixty millimeter objectives are relatively big, and this is a time when bigger really is better.
Multi-coated lenses prevent reflection and the scattering of light, which means less loss of light and higher image contrast. This too contributes to a brighter, sharper image. It also helps protect the lenses from getting scratched. The field of view at 10x magnification is 186 feet/1000 yards, which is decent for activities like birdwatching.
The view through these really is fantastic. From my back door, I can look out onto trees that are fifty feet away and see, in detail, every rain drop on every branch as if they were right in front of me. It’s quite beautiful, and I wish you could see it!
Not only do you get a nice view through the lenses, but the Maginon 10-30×60 Binoculars are comfortable and easy to use. At a little over 2 lbs, these aren’t exactly lightweight, but they’re not heavy either and holding them for several minutes doesn’t make my wrists tired. The eyecups are soft and flexible and you won’t have any trouble using them while wearing eyeglasses. Maginon has thoughtfully provided thumb indents and finger ridges, making their ergonomically designed binoculars super comfortable to grip for longer periods of time.
These are going to be perfect for our upcoming national park tour, but they’ll also be handy during our regular outdoorsy adventures. Our hiking trips are going to be a lot more interesting from now on!
A carrying strap is included along with a storage bag and a cleaning cloth, plus you get a three-year warranty. Learn more at Maginon.us and head over to Amazon to find the Maginon 10-30×60 Binoculars for purchase.
