Louise Loves Art Review & Prize Pack Giveaway!
A complimentary copy of Louise Loves Art was provided for review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Always drawing, coloring, modeling, and cutting and pasting spectacular designs on every surface she’s allowed to touch, my daughter is full of creative energy. My husband and I frequently refer to her as “our little artiste”, and she’s proud to have that title. When I came across a book about a little girl who loves art more than anything, I knew I just had to share it with my own little girl.
In Louise Loves Art, you meet Louise, her brother Art, and their cat. As you might have guessed, Louise loves art. “It’s my imagination on the outside,” she says. She inventive, enthusiastic, and focused–much like my 6-year-old. This scene is especially reminiscent of the art museum into which our daughter has converted our home:
Yes; Louise takes her art quite seriously. Both you and your children will enjoy her passion and flair, and you’ll also share in her distress when the story takes a surprising and suspenseful turn. (Think suspense aimed at 4 to 8 year olds.) Don’t worry though, this tale has a happy and heartwarming ending.
My daughter absolutely adores this book. In her own words, “It’s fun and great!” She’s been creating masterpieces to add to her “Gallery du Fridge” since the first time we read it together. (As if she needed any encouragement there.)
You can see the cuteness animated in the Louise Loves Art book trailer:
Louise Loves Art is available for purchase now from retailers like Amazon, B&N, and Indiebound. By the way, this would be a great way to use up those Amazon and Barnes & Noble gift cards you got over the holidays!
