L’Oréal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Really is Magical
My skin is anything but smooth and perfect, yet I don’t think I’ve ever regularly worn a liquid foundation. I’ve tried lots of them, of course, but they always made me look and feel too makeup-y, regardless of how much I applied or the technique I used. They seemed to enjoy settling into my creases and accentuating any flaky parts of my skin, and since my goal is to hide imperfections, I eventually stopped wasting money on such products. Instead, I stuck with mineral powders and more recently I’ve been exploring the world of BB creams. Then one day while I was using the the elliptical machine and watching TV to make the time pass more quickly, I caught a commercial for a new product from L’Oréal: Magic Nude Liquid Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup. It sounded like just the product I’d been looking for, and you can imagine my joy when that very same afternoon, SheSpeaks offered me a complimentary bottle for review.
The instructions say to shake well and then pour a few drops of the liquid directly onto your fingers. Bold letters indicate that you shouldn’t apply this with a brush or a sponge, and being the good little girl that I am, I obeyed. I haven’t figured out how to measure a few drops since the bottle opening doesn’t have any way to prevent the free flow of liquid, but after a few tries, I was able to recognize the correct size blob for my needs.
When applied, Magic Nude transforms from liquid to powder. Seriously. It really is like magic. It goes on easily, dries almost instantly, and feels very soft on the skin. I love how nicely it plays with my combination skin–it doesn’t encourage oiliness or make my dry patches more obvious. Most importantly, it does not settle into any lines or around my nose like other products I’ve used. Let’s see how it worked!
Even with my very unprofessional photos, you can see how well the Magic Nude blended away my blotchiness, yet it hardly looks like I’m wearing makeup. Really, I don’t think it looks like I’m wearing make up at all. That just how it feels too. It’s so light that it really does feel like my skin is bare, which is exactly how I want my makeup to feel. If only my bare skin really did look and feel this soft and smooth!
If you have serious imperfections you’re trying to cover, this might not be the best option for you, but if you want something light to help give you smoother-looking skin without feeling all makeup-y, then I think you’ll be happy with this one. Will I be purchasing this once I run out? Absolutely.

I normally don’t wear makeup, but as I get older, I have been starting to think about starting. All those little lines and spots are starting to show.
I need to try this because my skin is not looking great lately, especially with the humidity and breakouts!
I haven’t used Loreal products in quite a while. This does look like it has great coverage. I know my daughter is currently looking for something, I may have to tell her about this.

I think I’d really like that formula. It would seem like it would feel much less cakey!

I wonder if this works better than regular power when you have those horrible fine lines around your eyes. I have been trying to find something that does not make the fine lines look like they are huge.

This sounds like a great find. I love L’Oréal products and I am always looking for a better foundation. I will be giving this a try.

The close up shots look awesome, I would have thought that it would have shown more like you were wearing makeup that it does

Incredible results and you’re right, it doesn’t even look like you’re wearing anything. I will have to check it out. I’m really picky about foundation too. It really does have a tendency to look overdone.

I see the difference from left to right. I do not wear make up any longer due to over sensitive skin. But the older I get the more I see the need for it. I need to find something soon 🙁
