Life’s a Glass of Cheribundi! (Giveaway)
I have a few small addictions (ahem, habits) which include having my one or two cups of coffee in the morning, along with consuming a flavored iced tea drink each afternoon. I think the iced tea habit started in high school when we had soda and iced tea vending machines (perhaps I’m dating myself; aren’t soda vending machines thankfully banned in schools nowadays?) Anyway, as an adult I’ve come to realize when I drink all of those iced teas, the ingredients aren’t exactly coming from “the best stuff on earth.”
I was eager to try out something more natural, healthy, and less artificial-tasting, so when Cheribundi sent their Refresh line of tart juices and bottled iced teas, I was game for a taste test. Cheribundi’s all-natural (not from concentrate) teas include refreshing cherry black tea, calming cherry green tea, exotic cherry jasmine tea, and the zesty rooibos tea. My family and I also had the opportunity to try Cheribundi’s refresh line of juices that include cherry raspberry, cherry pomegranate, and cherry blueberry flavors.
Not only are these drinks great-tasting, these teas and juices boast wonderful health benefits including disease-fighting antioxidants and good-for-you phytonutrients, and the company’s gentle juicing process doesn’t boil away any of the fruits’ nutrients.
My husband tried the cherry pomegranate juice and he loved that it wasn’t over-sweet but refreshing and fruity. I sampled the cherry black tea on the rocks and it blew away my usual iced tea fixation: it was tart, not too sweet, and invigorating. I also loved a splash of the cherry blueberry juice to jazz up plain seltzer. My daughter thought the cherry raspberry juice was “yummy” and “good” and I am happy to give her an alternative to the apple juice, which I have to water down so it’s not overly-sugary. I did not have to water this drink down for her. My 20-month-old literally chugged her sippy cup of cherry blueberry juice to the bottom.
I am psyched these juices and teas only contain the ingredients that you would expect (like uh, cherry juice, green tea, sugar, and water) and more importantly, nothing artificial. Also, Cheribundi’s juices have been clinically tested in the lab and on the playing field by amateur, college, and professional athletes. The test revealed that a daily regimen of the cherry juice aids everyone from pro athletes to moms like me chasing after kids and trying to live a healthier, more active life. Cherry juice: the new Gatorade? Who knew?
I’m excited to continue my habit of afternoon iced tea and swap it with something healthier, refreshing, and good for me and my whole family!
