Let a Wearever Mattress Pad Save Your Mattress {Giveaway!}
Over at the Scout household, we’ve been dealing with potty training for longer than I like to think about. My daughter is fine during the day now, and she’s pretty good at night too, but every so often she likes to leave us with a little surprise. Part of the surprise is that we never know when it will happen. And my son…well, he’s been difficult all around. He never makes it through a night without getting wet, and he even soaks right through a night diaper. Luckily for us, Wearever makes a fantastic mattress pad that will save our mattress from all of the abuse my kids try to inflict upon it.
The Wearever Mattress Pad with Wings has three layers of protection and can hold up to 60 oz. of moisture. The quilted, super absorbent top layer (pictured above) is made from an 80/20 cotton/polyester blend called IBEX, and the vinyl bottom layer is the barrier that keeps your mattress from getting destroyed. The 19 in. wings that tuck under the mattress do a great job of keeping the pad in place. On my sons twin bed, I can tuck in both sides, and it fits well. My daughter has a bigger bed, so we only tuck in one side for her, and it still stays put.
The pad is washable, so you can use it over and over again. That’s much less wasteful than buying disposables, and it’s a money saver. Saving money and saving my mattress–sounds good to me! And the mattress pad must be comfy because it’s gone completely unnoticed by both kids. The fabric is soft enough that you can use this on top of the sheets, but since my sheet is not worth saving, I’ve mostly been using the pad underneath.
I wish I’d had one of these on my baby registry, then I could have had this protection from the beginning. Mattresses are way too expensive to mess with, and I love knowing that I’m keeping mine safe even though my children seem determined to ruin it! Head over to Wearever to learn more about this pad and their other products. Connect with them on Facebook.

At 23 I had an accident that left my incontinent. At 30 this is something that still causes a lot of shame and embarrassment. The underwear definitely looks like something I would be more comfortable wearing (rather than diapers). I need the mattress pad as well because I’ve already gone through two. I’m glad I found the site – thanks!
