Learn & Connect Through Play with SimplyFun’s Kilter – Giveaway!
Welcome to the Family Fun Giveaway Hop, hosted by Happy Mothering and the Green Moms Network! Each of the participating blogs is offering a prize package to help inspire family fun and togetherness! So after entering my giveaway, be sure to hop around and enter all of the other giveaways listed on the linky at the bottom of this post!
How many of you have a family game night, or have considered adding one into your family’s routine? It can be so fun to gather everyone together for games and laughs, and to just enjoy being there together. Intentional interaction and conversation, rather than just the passing “Where is my blue shirt?” or “What’s for dinner?” are so important, and can help make so many fun memories.
When choosing games and activities for a game night, it’s awesome when you find something that’s both fun for everyone and educational for your kids. SimplyFun has a huge variety of games that are just that.
Kilter is one of SimplyFun’s educational games.
This particular game teaches about physics of levers and motion, weight distribution, and will help your kids hone their fine motor skills. To play, each person tries to safely distribute weighted cubes onto the precariously balanced seesaw. If it tilts, your turn is over – and you have to take any pieces that fall! In addition to a physics lesson, this game also teaches patience – a virtue I know we can all use a little more of!
The fun and educational benefits of Kilter are well-known; this award-winning game has snagged both a Mom’s Choice Award and a Mom’s Best Award.
SimplyFun games are mapped to national core learning standards, and are designed to help your children practice important skill sets. They also provide suggestions for gameplay by children with special needs, so everyone can enjoy and learn from SimplyFun.
Kilter includes one seesaw, seventy-two blocks in four colors and sizes, and a rules booklet. The game and its pieces are high quality, and are made of wood, not plastic; it will last a lifetime!
This game is intended for ages 8 and up, accommodates 2-4 players, and each game takes around 15-20 minutes.
Sound fun? Enter to win your own copy of Kilter, or purchase it directly from the SimplyFun website!
