Keep Your Home Clean & Green with Frosch
You all know how picky I am about the products I expose my family to. As far as I’m concerned, environmentally-friendly and as natural as possible is the only way to go. Thanks to Moms Meet, I’ve been trying out a new-to-me brand that is both of those things: Frosch.
Frosch is a brand of cleaning products that has been around since 1986 but has only recently been made available to us in the US. That’s more than 25 years of experience making environmentally-friendly products, and now we get to benefit from it. From production to ingredients to packaging, Frosch does everything with the health of our environment in mind. Their formulas use natural active ingredients; their surfactants are from renewable, plant-based sources; they use minimal amounts of preservatives and perfumes; they avoid harmful chemicals like phosphates, borates, formaldehyde, NTA, EDTA, and PVC; their packaging is made of recycled materials and is recyclable; they do not test on animals; and they practice sustainable and energy-conscious manufacturing. Intrigued? Good, because now I’m going to tell you about my experience with the six Frosch products I’ve been using.
I’m ashamed to say that my kitchen floor hadn’t had a good cleaning in months, so this was the perfect opportunity to test out the Lavender Universal Cleaner. Lavender has never been my favorite scent, and while I’d really prefer no scent at all, this was actually quite nice. More importantly, it got the crud off my floor without leaving behind any sticky residue. Now I feel like I can go barefoot in the kitchen again.
Next in line was the Bio Spirit Glass Cleaner. Both of my kids suffer from the same ailment–an inability to refrain from touching glass whenever they see it. This means that all of the glass in my house–doors, cabinets, mirrors–are decorated with tiny, adorable, sticky fingerprints. And it’s my job to keep that glass clean and make sure I’m cleaning with something I don’t mind my kids touching. This takes care of both those things, and it does it without leaving streaks!
Washing dishes is my life. Okay, not really, but it sure does feel that way sometimes. Seriously; I do a lot of dishes, so I was more than pleased to try two of their dishwashing liquids. The Aloe Vera has a light, fresh aloe scent, while the Pomegranate is fun and fruity. Both are effective cleansers that cut through the grease and dirt, and I love that I don’t need to squeeze the bottle nearly as often as I did with the environmentally-friendly liquid soap I had previously been using. The best part is that they are moisturizing and gentle on your skin. I don’t need to tell you how important that is when you frequently wash dishes and your hands–especially during the dry winter months. They also make a fragrance-free, dye-free version, and I’m really looking forward to trying that one next, but for now, the Pomegranate has taken residence on my kitchen counter. I think it looks good there.
There’s not a room in my house that hasn’t been cleaned with the Baking Soda All Purpose Cleaner, but I’ve really put it to the test in the kitchen. Baking soda is nature’s little miracle, so it’s no huge surprise that this works well. What I love most is that I feel completely comfortable using this on the surfaces that we use most and that come into contact with the food we eat.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but the Frosch product I was most interested in trying was the Lemon Toilet Bowl Cleaner. To be completely honest, I greatly dislike lemon, but not nearly as much as I dislike the toilet bowl cleaner I usually use. It’s the one product I can’t seem to find an environmentally-friendly version of when I’m out shopping. You use this one the same way you do any other cleaner–squirt, let it sit for a minute, and brush. You’re left with a shiny, clean, lemon-scented throne, and you didn’t need to use frightening chemicals to make it happen.
Using the Frosh cleaners has been nothing but a great experience for me. I’ll never pretend to enjoy cleaning, but I’m much happier about it when I’m using products I can trust to be safe for my family and for the planet. In fact, I’m so happy about it that I’ll try not to let it bother me that this stuff has been around for so many years, and I wasn’t able to use it!

I am a big fan of all things “green”. I think that using cleaners that are eco-friendly is super important, and frankly there is just no reason to use caustic chemicals to clean when it has been proven that “green” versions are just as effective.
I have never heard of this line, looks great and non-toxic, which I prefer to use.
I’ve never used this brand before but I love how safe it sounds to use! Would love to try it!
It’s nice to use cleaning products that are good for the environment. I think these are all great sounding.
Wow! This company really did think of everything- ingredients, packaging, effectiveness and even offering scent free options! The Baking Soda All Purpose Cleaner sounds like the perfect all-around product. Thanks, for the introduction to this (new to me) brand.

These cleansers would be ideal for me. I’m very chemical sensitive and get ill when I use and especially if I mix cleansers. The only thing I couldn’t use is the floor cleanser. Lavender makes me gag. If they have it in another scent, I’d try it.
I love these these products.
I try to use natural cleaners in my house. Want to try their toilet cleaner best.
