Influenster Mom VoxBox Review
It’s been a month since I received my Mom VoxBox from Influenster, so it’s time to talk a little about all of the products I received. Most of the items included were new to me, so it was a lot of fun getting to sample them all.
Ivory Bar Soap: $4.27 per 10-pack of bath size bars
Ivory is a name with which most of us are already familiar, so it didn’t initially seem like the most exciting item in the box. After using it for a few weeks and doing a little research, I discovered some new things about Ivory. Read my Ivory review to find out what I learned.
DenTek Comfort Clean & Fun Flossers: $1.99 to $2.99 for full packs
The flossers were something I’d never before tried. For the most part, they were easy to use, but I did find it awkward to reach some of my back teeth. These would be great to keep in my purse; they just need a nice carrying case! They were even better for use on my 3-year-old daughter. I’d never even considered attempting to floss her teeth before, but this made it so easy to do, and she’s even started to use it all by herself. I’ll definitely be getting more for her and my son.
Stash Tea Superfruits Tea Sampler: $3.50 and Nektar Sweetener
I’m not a big tea drinker, but I do enjoy a cup from time to time, and I always drink it with honey if that’s an option. This sampler had a nice assortment of fruity flavors, including caffeine-free varieties. I tried them both hot and cold, and they each had a fresh, bright flavor that’s just perfect for summer. They were especially yummy when made as an iced tea. I’d say the Acai Berry Herbal was my favorite flavor.
The Nektar Sweetener is a packet of honey crystals made from Grade A honey, and it’s suitable for both hot and cold beverages. I think it’s a really great idea because it’s so much less messy than honey, I just feel like I would need about 30 packets per cup of tea because the flavor isn’t as strong as it could be. The packaging states that one packet is as sweet as one teaspoon of liquid honey. I must use A LOT of liquid honey then!
Quaker Soft Baked Cookie: $2.69 for a box of 6
My VoxBox arrived right around snacktime, so this one didn’t last long. I ate half of the cookie, and my daughter claimed the other half. Oatmeal is probably my favorite kind of cookie, so I had big hopes for this one. This cookie was definitely soft, if just a tiny bit on the dry side. The flavor was not bad, but it was a little more spice than I like, and I honestly could live without the raisins. My favorite thing about this cookie is that it has 4 grams of fiber. I’m always looking for ways to increase my fiber intake, and I can’t say I’d be unhappy if I could do it with a cookie! My daughter loved it and was very upset with me for eating the rest of “her cookie”. I probably won’t purchase this particular variety, but I would like to try out the other flavors they offer.
imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails: $5.99 to $7.99
This was probably the most fun of all the items included in the VoxBox. Yes, moms clean things and feed people, but we also like to feel pretty! This manicure lets you have that without the time and expense of going to a salon. Read my imPRESS review to find out more about what I thought.
The Original Dish Drying Mat: Oh, wait a minute. That’s right. I DIDN’T GET ONE. *cries*
Overall, I think the Mom VoxBox had a good mix of items appropriate for the average mommy. Discovering new products that work for you is a lot of fun!
