Green Kid Crafts Delivers Earth Friendly Activities to Your Door!
Over at the Game On Mom household, we just love our earth friendly products and projects–especially when we can get the children involved with them! And that’s just what the Green Kid Crafts subscription program is all about. This monthly service ships you a Discovery Box for kids 3-8 that comes packed with three or four activity kits designed to cultivate your child’s creativity while encouraging them to care for the environment. Each Discovery Box has a green theme, such as I Love Bugs, Outer Space, and Feathered Friends. The theme of the box I got to try is World Music, and since my kids love musical instruments (and all things noisy) this was just perfect for them.
There were several musical goodies in this box, including supplies to make a tambourine, spin drum, rhythm bells, a bonus box guitar, and horn craft sticker. Let’s take a look at some of the fun we had with our World Music Discovery Box!
When my daughter saw bags with bells in them, she could not contain her excitement. She chose the tambourine as our first project, and we set to work right away. Attaching the bells to the cardboard hexagon was a team effort, but my daughter did a really great job stringing the yarn. Once that was complete, we pulled out the soy crayons so she could get decorating. Now she has a musical instrument that she has a great time playing with, and she’s so proud of herself for having helped to make it.
My son’s favorite was the horn craft sticker from Box Play for Kids. The idea here is that by applying the eco-friendly, 100% recycled stickers to things like egg cartons and paper towel rolls, they can be transformed into a toy and given new life. My son is totally sold on this one; I haven’t been able to get him to put his new toy horn down! Here he is (complete in his organic cotton pajamas) demonstrating how his paper towel roll horn doubles as a telescope.
Also included in every box is a Discover More guide, which provides additional information about the current month’s theme and other easy to do crafts that use materials you probably have around the house. Each activity comes with all the supplies you need, illustrated and easy to follow directions, and even some songs and games to go along with the instruments. It’s really an amazing assortment of crafts, and any kid would enjoy doing them.
Green Kid Crafts Discovery Boxes are sustainably designed and such a great way for your kids to have fun while fostering their creativing and teaching them to respect our planet. They’ve won won a variety of awards including the PTPA Seal of Approval, MACT Excellence and MACT Green Awards, and Red Tricycle’s Award for Most Awesome Subscription Service. Subscriptions are available in month-to-month, 3, 6, and 12 month durations, and they also make great gifts! The monthly subscription cost is $23.95, and sibling subscriptions are also available. Order at Green Kid Crafts. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter too!
And just in time for Earth Day, Green Kid Crafts has produced a free, downloadable Earth Day Activity Guide for Kids that you can grab at GreenKidCrafts.com/Earth-
We received a complimentary Discovery Box for review purposes. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

I always want to do more crafts with my son but never seem to have the time to “think” of one that we haven’t done before. I love this idea!

I can’t wait for my son to be old enough for crafts! Actually, he’s almost a year, so I guess we can start stuff soon??? I don’t really know.

I absolutely adore Green Kid Crafts. I had the pleasure of working with them when they were first getting started. Such a wonderful company and such great value on the Earth friendly products. My daughter adored making her crafts into puppets and other fun things. So glad your little ones had the opportunity to enjoy it too!
