GoToob Reusable Container Review & Giveaway
With Earth Day coming up, I wanted to feature a reusable product, and my first choice was GoToob. GoToob, made by humangear, is a reusable container described by the company as “the civilized, squeezable travel tube”. Today, I’ll be discussing the 1.25 oz. size.
This reusable container is suitable for a variety of liquids, including shampoos, conditioners, soaps, sunscreens, and more. It’s BPA-free and made of a soft but durable silicone that allows you to squeeze out the contents effortlessly. Reusable containers are clearly less wasteful than travel-sized bottles of shampoo or lotion that you just throw away when they’re empty, but other ones I’ve tried were made of a cheap, hard to squeeze plastic, and some of them even ended up cracking over time. With the GoToob, I don’t have to worry about any of those things anymore.
The wide opening makes it easy to fill without making a mess, and if you’re messy like I am, you’ll appreciate this feature. It also makes it much easier to clean, which is especially helpful if you want to refill it with a different kind of product.
Now this feature here is so simple yet so brilliant. The GoToob has an ID window to indicate the contents. You can choose from lotion, soap, sun, shampoo, or conditioner, and there are also blank spots so you can write in your own content with a Sharpie. I always think I’ll remember what I put in my travel tubes or that it will be obvious just from looking at it, but it almost never works out that way. I’d like to shake hand of the human who came up with this idea.
GoToob is also food safe, although I’m not sure what you’re going to do with just 1.25 oz of food. Ketchup anyone? That’s actually not a bad idea now that I’m thinking about it. I can definitely see myself carrying around a little tube of organic ketchup for my kids to use when we’re dining out. Oh, and maybe another one for Daddy’s favorite hot sauce! A larger GoToob would be great for homemade fruit purees for the babies. That sounds much less wasteful than all of those disposable pouches.
There are some fluids that are incompatible with the silicone GoToob. So if you’re looking for a place to store your Single Malt Scotch Whisky, I’m sorry to tell you that you’ll have to look elsewhere. I do not, however, see vodka on the list of incompatibles, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Obviously, these are great for travel or any time you’re on the go. It’s small enough to fit in my over-packed suitcase or to toss into my overcrowded purse. The GoToob reusable container is approved for airplane carry-on too. I really dislike having to check my luggage, so that’s great news. Even better, like all humangear products, GoToob is covered by a lifetime warranty! Visit humangear to find out where you can get your own GoToob and to see their other products.
Enter to win a 1.25 oz. GoToob! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and older. Ends 5/4/13. Good Luck!

I put hand cream in it to carry in my purse.
I would put body wash in mine
I’m thinking I would use it for lotion. It is more economical to buy a large bottle and pour some in a smaller tube like this for taking along in my purse.
