Go Brandless and Save Money on Organic and Natural Products

When I’m grocery shopping for the family, I buy organic whenever possible. It’s a choice I feel good about, but I can’t pretend it doesn’t hurt my wallet. All food is expensive, and it’s always seemed wrong to me that people should have to pay even more for food that is better for them.
Well, Brandless is helping to change that. How you ask? They offer a huge variety of natural and organic products from food to cleaning supplies, and everything is just $3. Seriously. In fact, I’ve even come across some items that are 2 for $3. By eliminating BrandTax™, the hidden costs you pay for a national brand, they’re making it easier than ever to get the good stuff at good prices. I loved this idea as soon as I heard about it, but are the products really as good as the ones we normally buy? Let’s look at an example.
As far as boxed snacks go, my kids go nuts over a particular cheddar-flavored cracker that’s shaped like a bunny. Brandless sent us similar crackers that are shaped like ducks, which are just as cute as bunnies, but we weren’t sure they’d be as tasty. Like our normal brand, they’re organic, which means they don’t have any artificial or genetically modified ingredients. It’s a good start, but the kids give the final approval once they’ve munched on a handful or three.
They eagerly tore open the orange box and dug right into the little duckies. Both kids were finished in no time, only pausing to make their new duck friends give each other a quick smooch. The Brandless Cheese Duck Crackers were a hit, and my son even said he prefers them over his regular bunnies. He doesn’t usually deal well with change, so that’s high praise.
Other food we tried include the
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Thins – These taste exactly like the ones we usually eat, which means the bag was finished within about a minute of it being opened.
- Beef Jerky – My husband is the jerky person in the house, and he gives this one two thumbs up.
- Tomato Basil Hummus Crisps – My son loved these, but I probably wouldn’t buy them again because they contain sugar. I don’t like to have sugar in any food that isn’t dessert.
- Partially Popped Popcorn – I’m not sure I fully understand the point of partially popped popcorn, but we tried the cheddar flavored, and they were very yummy.
As I mentioned before, Brandless is more than just food. Hand soap, napkins, lotion, toilet bowl cleaner–they’ve got it. Natural versions of household and personal care products can be just as or more expensive than food, so I’m thrilled to have place to go where I can find the kinds of ingredients I want at prices I can afford.
My only issue with Brandless so far is that they don’t have reviews. Reviews can be so helpful when deciding which products to choose, and I rely on them pretty heavily. I’ll just have to cross my fingers that this is a feature they’ll incorporate in the future.
There’s one more bonus when you go Brandless, and it’s an impressive one. Every time you place a Brandless order, a meal is donated through Feeding America® to people facing hunger . They’ve already donated over 250K meals!

What a cool concept, I think we are so stuck on labels but sometimes those aren’t always the best products. I am going to look into this brand (less) for sure!
Sounds like a very good concept! So much money is put into branding and advertising, so this sounds like a great way to save a few pennies.
