Glasstic: The Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle
If you’d happened to monitor the contents of my cabinets over the past few years, you’d have noticed one significant change. You will find very few items packaged in plastic bottles these days. My peanut butter, applesauce, etc. is all glass now. I don’t like the idea of chemicals leaching into my food, so if glass is an option, that’s what I get. I drink water all day long, and I’ve often worried about the fact that I’m still using plastic (reusable) bottles for that, but I’ve also been worried about the possibility of glass water bottles breaking. Glass is more expensive, but the concern is mostly over the fact I have two small children running around the house…and they like to break things.
The problem has been solved by Glasstic, a 16 oz., wide mouth, shatterproof, glass bottle that is encapsulated in a BPA-free plastic shell. Brilliant concept, don’t you think? This means that I can drink my water without fear of chemicals or shattering glass, but it also means that my water tastes much better. You know beverages always taste better in glass! If you weren’t aware of that, test it out. It’s a noticeable difference.
Some features I like in this bottle:
First, one of the several color options is pink. That’s always a plus with me. There is a safety lock to prevent leakage, which makes it extra portable, as does the attached handle. It makes it very comfortable to carry on long walks, and the handle conveniently snaps closed so it’s out of the way when you don’t need it. I can also personally attest to the fact that it’s very easy to carry when you’re hobbling around the house on crutches. It’s pretty much the only thing I can carry while I’m on the crutches. I’m still in pain, but at least I’m not thirsty! Another nifty detail is how any condensation that forms will be on the glass bottle, keeping the plastic shell nice and dry. No water rings on my nightstand? Deal. (In addition to breaking things, the kids seem to enjoy stealing coasters as well.)
The Glasstic bottle’s parts are easy to disassemble and reassemble for maintenance. I really try to hand wash items that I deem delicate or important, but let’s face it: I’m a busy mom, and I take shortcuts when I can. Luckily, this bottle is safe to put in the top rack of the dishwasher. Even when I do wash it by hand, it’s an easy task with my trusty bottle brush.
Watch this short video for a demonstration how Glasstic works:
The Glasstic Worry Free Glass Water Bottle is a durable, portable, and possibly pink option for those who want the purity that glass provides without the breakage issue. I wouldn’t recommend juggling these bottles, of course, because there’s still glass in there, but the protection that the outer shell offers makes it much less likely to shatter than an ordinary glass bottle. If you do you mange to break the glass, the broken pieces will be contained within the outer shell and can be easily and safely disposed of. You can then purchase a replacement insert for just $7.99. That includes shipping! That’s really a great value and it allows you to continue reusing your fabulous water bottle and enjoying your better-tasting, toxin-free water.
Visit GlassticWaterBottle.com to learn more and purchase your own Glasstic bottle for only $19.99. Catch Glasstic on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest too.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Well how great is this. I have lots of days where I get the dropsies and things just slip right out of my hand. This would work well for me. Not only that, when my Grandson comes over, I try not to leave anything out that he could break and get hurt on. This would solve that problem too.

Ohh I do love that it’s shatterproof. My son takes a bottle to school daily (all of the kids do) and this would be ideal.
This would be great for me to take to work. I often drop things so a sturdy and shatterproof glass water bottle would be fantastic.
I love this idea. Less plastic out there BUT not breakable because I am a huge klutz!!

This is such a great concept. I am a huge Aquafina fan because it’s the water in bottle form to me that has a fresh taste to it. So, I totally get what you’re saying. Thanks for telling us about this.

That is such a brilliant concept. I tried those metal water bottles and hated those. I saw regular glass re-usable bottles but like you have little kids (and a mom that drops things!). I want one – in pink of course so my boys do not steal it.

This would be great for me to have. I generally wake up thirsty but have to get up because certain cat named Baby likes to swat things on the floor–at least with this I would not have to worry. All I’d have to worry about is where on the floor it is!!

This would have been great when my children were younger. They were always dropping and breaking things.
What a great product. I like not having to worry that it will break and become a hazard. Now you can drink as much water as you need.

I love this so much. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped my water bottle and cracked it at the gym, so this would be awesome!

What a awesome concept! I keep a water bottle by my bed at night and a glass one would be nice. I wonder since it can’t break if parks would allow it?

Shatterproof glass? That’s something new. I need those in my house. My kids are always breaking something.

It looks like a quality water bottle and being made of shatterproof glass sure adds to that. Even adults tend to drop things when we are in a hurry.

Love this! I had a glass water bottle that accidentally fell off our counter onto the tile floor, and while it didn’t shatter, the lip did break. This is such a great idea, especially when you’re as clumsy as I am!
I love how it looks and shatterproof is a plus!

Glasstic shatterproof glass water bottles sound awesome for my friends with little ones. I too do not like the idea of drinking from chemical laden water that has been in plastic bottles. It is very dangerous to take glass to pools with kids because accidents happen. These would be perfect for that occasion. Great idea!
I have 4 kiddos and I always think about them before buying stuff like this. I much prefer a glass bottle. I filter my water, why would I put it into a plastic bottle?? Ive decided I want one of these LOL
What a great water bottle, my Teen is a runner and always needs to take a bottle along; he prefers glass, but I always tell him to take a plastic bottle instead, I’m too worried he would break it and get hurt.. this one sounds like it will make it’s way to his Christmas list..thanks for a great review…
