Get Soap & Give Hope with SoapBox + Giveaway
I didn’t count, but I think I probably washed my hands about 20 times yesterday. I do it almost without thinking. At even the slightest hint of germs, dirt, anything, I’m off to the sink and the soap.
It’s easy for all of us to do this. It’s also easy to grab a bottle of water or pop a few vitamins at any time.
Sadly, the number of people in the world who can’t do this is staggering and heartbreaking: around 750 million people in the world lack safe access to clean water. It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around a number that large. To put it in perspective: the lives of more than 3,000 children a day could be saved by something as simple as clean water and a bar of soap.
What can we do to help? There is a multitude of ways to make a difference, but I am especially happy when I can help just by doing the things I do every day, like washing my hands. How? By using products from SoapBox.
SoapBox has an entire line of bar soaps, liquid hand soaps, body wash, and hair products. They’re made with organic ingredients like sea salt, shea butter, and all-natural essential oils, so you know you’re treating your skin well. They also come in a wide variety of scents, and they smell absolutely delicious.
The soaps are fantastic, but that’s not even the special part. For every bar of SoapBox soap purchased, they will donate 1 bar of soap to a child in need. For every bottle of liquid hand soap, they will donate a 1-month supply of water. For every bottle of body wash, they will donate a 1-year supply of vitamins. I LOVE this.
In only two years, SoapBox has donated to Haiti, Ecuador, Honduras, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand, India, South Africa, Zambia, Canada, and the United States.
Yes, you read that correctly: in addition to their international donations, SoapBox also provides soap locally to struggling families at homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and nursing homes here in the U.S. The Hope Code printed on each product allows you to connect with the mission you’re supporting. Did I mention I love this? I love this so much.
SoapBox products can be purchased on their website, and in some locations you can buy them at retailers you already visit frequently, like Target, CVS, and Earth Fare. At Soapbox.com you can get singles of your favorite items, or you can grab a bundle or a box. Bundles and boxes vary in size, from packs perfect for individuals to sets large enough to supply an entire house full of people.
Are you ready to start making a difference? To learn more about SoapBox products and their mission, be sure to visit SoapBox.com. You can also stay up to date by following them on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Right now, SoapBox is offering special Holiday Bundles–absolutely perfect for gift giving. What’s even better is that they’re giving you a chance to win one right here. How great are these guys?! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and older. Ends 11/30/15. Good luck!
