Furry Build-a-Bear Friends You Can Make at Home!
Believe it or not, I have never taken my kids to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Not even once. It’s not that I have anything against cute, cuddly things, and it certainly isn’t because they haven’t asked about it. I just really do not like going to the mall, and that happens to be where Build-a-Bear lives.
The brilliant folks at Just Play have come up with a way to enjoy the magic of Build-a-Bear right in the comfort of your own home with their new Furry Friends.
There are currently two 10″ dolls to choose from, Rainbow Bear and Pink Kitty, and they’re both cute and colorful. Everything you need to build your own friend comes right in one package. It even includes a birth certificate so you can make the adoption official!
Once you’ve removed everything from the box, the first thing you’re going to want to do is to stuff your new doll. The stuffing comes with a heart locket attached, and the best part is that it opens so you can put a picture or secret wish inside. Getting the stuffing into the doll took a bit of doing, but your daughter should be able to handle it without your help.
In addition to a pretty outfit, you get plenty of accessories. Your little girl will have a ball dressing up her new friend with bows, bracelets, sparkly shoes, and more. Everything is removable of course, so you can mix and match outfits if you have both Furry Friends. Customizing is most of the fun, right?
We love getting to build our own bear and kitty right at home, but we do hope they expand the line with some gender neutral options. Then my kids can finally have the Build-a-Bear collection they’ve always wanted, and I never have to deal with the mall!
Four inch Furry Friends are also available, and each comes packaged in the iconic Build-A-Bear Cub Condo that kids can color and customize. Choose from Rainbow Bear, Rainbow Camo Panda, Black & White Puppy, Striped Monkey, Rainbow Tiger, Turquoise Camo Bear, and the rare Rainbow Unicorn.
Both versions of Just Play’s Build-A-Bear Furry Friends Plush dolls can be found at Walmart. Rainbow Bear and Pink Kitty are only $19.97 and the 4″ Furry Friends are $5.99.

This is a great idea. I wonder how places like Build A Bear are able to stay open.
These are really cute, didn’t know they had something like this outside of the build a bear shop. I usually take my kids there but this is even cute for a gift for someone.
Awesome! I think I found a nice gift for my god-daughter. She would love this. Her mom said she has noticed some creative talent and so I would love to encourage her to develop that talent even more. This Build A Bear kit would be perfect!
