Fun Stocking Stuffers for Kids
Christmas is such a magical time of the year, especially for our little ones. They get so excited when they realize that along with the colder weather (possibly even snow!) and extended break from school, that Santa will be coming soon. Suddenly they’re on their best behavior and begging to help decorate the tree in anticipation of the gifts that’ll be waiting beneath it come Christmas morning.
Although I was always a big fan of coming out and finding gifts under the tree when I was a kid, my favorite part of Christmas morning was always the stockings that my Mom put together. They always had a huge assortment of cool things like candy and little knickknacks. Now that I have my own children, I like to follow my Mom’s example and make them a stocking every year. Some of my favorite stocking stuffers that I’ve found this year include:
Scen-Ties
If you have young girls or teens in your home this holiday season, Scen-Ties are a fantastic addition to their stockings. A fun, new twist on classic hair ties, Scen-Ties are scented with alluring scents like strawberry, bubble gum, and cotton candy. Each tie has a little fabric tag attached that you tug on to release the scent from the elastic within the Scen-Tie. Head to Scen-Ties.com to learn more or find them on Facebook and Instagram.
Surprizamals
Both boys and girls will be excited to find their stockings stuffed with Surprizamals this year. There’s just something tiny stuffed animals that kids can’t resist. Made by the Beverley Hills Teddy Bear Company, each Surprizamal comes hidden in a Surprizaball, so which animal you get is a mystery. When you pop open a ball and find those big eyes staring back at you, you’re heart will just melt, no matter which one you get. Your kids will want to collect them all, and they’ll have a great time trading with their friends. Some Surprizaballs are hiding rare animals, but you won’t know until you open them! Check out Surprizamals.com visit them over on Facebook and Instagram.
My kids are “hooked” on these deliciously-scented and adorable backpack clips. It all started about two years ago with the “I. B. Poppin'” popcorn clip and has since grown to sampling many mystery packs. They’re going to need bigger backpacks. You can’t blame them though–these scented characters are a ton of fun to collect. They’re like scratch and sniffer stickers come to life, and if you grew up in the 80s like I did, you’ll get why that’s so appealing. The mystery packs are even more fun, because you might just find a gold package in your container, and that means you’ve got a super rare combination clip! I might have opened a package or two myself. They’re addictive. Go to WhifferSniffers.com to see all the different Sniffers available, including their limited editions. Follow them on Facebook and Twitter to make sure you get all the latest updates!
Mash’Ems
If you have a little one at home who likes to collect things, then Mash’Ems is right up your alley when it comes to stocking stuffers this year. They’re big fun in a tiny, little package. For at least a year now, there is one toy that you can find on my son at all times, and that is his Flash Mash’Em. He takes it everywhere he goes, and if he happens to misplace it, the world is just not right until it’s been found. Available in lots of fun character themes like Paw Patrol, Avengers, Ninja Turtles, etc., Mash’Ems can be twisted, mashed, squished, and pulled for hours of fun. You can check out all the varieties at MashEms.com and make sure to follow them Facebook and Twitter.
Fash’Ems
Once my daughter saw my son’s Flash Mash’Em, she immediately wanted one of her own, and while she’d gladly take a superhero, Hello Kitty is where her heart really lies. Just like Mash’Ems, these collectible figures are a ton of fun to play with and collect, but they might be just a little bit cuter. Whether your girl prefers My Little Pony, Littlest Petshop, Frozen, Hello Kitty, or Disney Princesses, their is a Fash’Em just waiting to be loved by her–and squeezed, twisted, and mashed too!
Squishy Pops
Have a kiddo that likes to decorate their own space with their unique tastes? Or maybe they just like sticking things to walls. I’m pretty sure both of my kids fall into both of those categories, and I guess that’s why Squishy Pops are such a hit with them. They’re the only squishy, mini-sized collectible that allows your kids to stick them to just about anything. Simply turn them upside down, and they stay stuck until you “pop” them off. I see a My Little Pony wall in my future.
Trolls Invisibobble
Trolls is a big, adorable deal right now, so it’s no surprise that the characters managed to sneak their way into one of my lists. If you haven’t heard of Invisibobble before, it’s a hair ring that’s telephone cord shape holds hair firmly in place without leaving any creases. You get less breakage, fewer tangles, and doesn’t cause tension headaches. Now your daughter can wear her hair like Princess Poppy! Hurry and grab your Trolls inspired Invisibobble while you can, they’ll only be available through the month of December! You can purchase them from Invisibobble.com or from Sephora. They’re also on Facebook and Instagram, or see them in action on Youtube.
Holiday Specs
Holiday Specs are so simple, but every kid who comes over my house goes crazy for them. These one-of-a-kind 3D glasses use holographic technology to transform Christmas lights into magical figures like candy canes, angels, stars, snow flakes, penguins, etc. We did a Holiday Specs review last year, and the kids have been waiting all year long to take them out again. If you want to see your children smile, give them some Holiday Specs and point them at the Christmas tree. We like to take a walk around the block while we’re wearing ours; it really makes everyone’s Christmas decorations so much more magical! Visit HolidaySpecs.com for more info, and don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
If you’re looking for some low-tech options that have the power to dazzle, you’ve got it right here with Paper Punk. All the paper and glue dots you need are included in the box, and no scissors or additional glue is needed, so you’re looking at some vibrant, mess-free fun. Spelly Straws
I’m sure you’ve noticed how kids light up when they are surprised with a colorful straw, or even better, a twirly one. Well, imagine their faces when they’re presented with a straw they can build! Each Spelly Straw is composed of individual letter pieces that connect to form words, so you can personalize them in so many ways. This is obviously a fabulous learning opportunity for kids, but really, it’s fun for anyone. Break these out at your next party, and wow your guests with some creative fun. Spelly Straws are currently on Kickstarter with pledges as low as $12 for a pack. You can also keep up with their progress Facebook and Twitter.

I am interested in the scent ties…. although I wish they were a bracelet like shown. I have a granddaughter that loves jewelry and a scent bracelet would be perfect.
Very cute ideas! Bracelets are always a big hit for little girls. We usually add movies, candy, and small toys in our kids stockings.
