Frego: Non-Toxic, Eco-Friendly All-in-One Food Storage Containers + Giveaway
It seems families today are busier than ever, juggling work, school, sports, and other extracurricular activities that provide great reward at the cost of free time.
At my house, I’ve noticed that we use a lot of food storage containers, and I relate this directly to the fact we’re all busy bees. I pack the kids’ lunches because I want them to eat well, and I often pack them the night before and keep them in the refrigerator (big morning time saver). We also don’t have time for a big meal every single night, so leftovers are often found in our fridge.
Interestingly, while I take great care to put good, healthy food on the table, I found that I didn’t always take the same care when it came to food storage options. Plastic containers are really convenient and inexpensive, but they leach harmful chemicals into food, especially when used as a reheating container. Bad things like BPAs (industrial chemicals), toxins, and PVCs (synthetic plastic polymers) are often found in plastic, and I obviously no one wants to add those “ingredients” to their meal. Since plastics are bad and I desperately need food storage containers, I decided to switch to glass. Glass can be a little tricky, though, especially for little fingers. It can easily burn you when used to reheat food, it can leak if it’s not sealed well or doesn’t have a lid, it can break if you drop it, and so on.
One company called Frego thought about all those problems and decided to create a product that tackled them all and made food storage worry-free. Frego’s All-In-1 containers are the perfect solution!
What makes them special? The All-In-1 container is free of toxins and plastics, protects against burned fingers, doesn’t spill, won’t break, can be labeled, and is a breeze to pack in lunch bags and stack in the fridge.
These containers are unlike any you’ve used before, because they are made with a sturdy glass dish, which is covered by a removable food-grade silicon sleeve and lid.
The glass is borosilicate, which means it has a better thermal range than traditional glass food containers, and is save from temperatures of -40 to 500 degrees °F. And when you’ve heated the dish, you can easily add the silicone sleeve to protect your hands from hot glass and carry to the table. When added, the lid creates a virtually airtight seal with the silicon sleeve, which means you can toss and turn your container as much as you want without worrying about spills and leaks. If you drop it (if I’m being honest, this happens a lot), you don’t have to worry about breakage – the glass is break resistant and protected by the sleeve. In other words, these containers are just about perfect! They come in four bright colors and can be labeled and re-labeled by using a dry erase marker. No more getting your lunch mixed up with the kids’!
My favorite part about Frego’s containers is this: a percentage of all sales go directly to the Lunchbox Fund, a non-profit organization that focuses on fostering education via nutrition by providing a daily meal for orphaned and at-risk school children in South Africa.
Frego products can be purchased at Amazon, The Grommet, Wayfair, and other retailers nationwide. To buy or learn more about their containers, visit FreegoLiving.com and follow them on Facebook and Twitter for their latest updates.
Frego is giving my readers a chance to win a large and small Frego! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and older. Ends 7/20/16. Good luck!

I think that the fact you can use these in the freezer, microwave, & dishwasher is amazing. So many storage dishes just melt in the microwave.
