My daughter is a very creative young lady, and every spare minute she has is spent “doing art”. If you could see my dining room table right now, you’d notice that a significant portion of it has been taken over by her supplies. Aside from all the crayons, markers, paint, scissors, tape, glue, and (tons of) paper, you’ll also find a lot of her handiwork on display. There are always a lot of drawings, but she goes way beyond that too. With the help of her many tools, she builds complex creations; not too long ago, she actually made me a jewelry box out of paper. She’s absolutely adorable.
Her newest and most interesting tool is the Scribbler V3 3D Pen. Just like the name indicates, this gadget allows you create 3D art–you can even draw freely in the air! Make unicorns, butterflies, superheroes, or maybe something really elaborate like a 3D village full of trees and cute little houses. If you’re not feeling particularly whimsical, you can also go the practical route and make things like picture frames, desk organizers, and pencil holders. The only limit here is your own imagination.
How does it work? It’s simple. Filament is fed into the pen, and once it’s heated, it’s extruded out of the tip so you can draw with it. It cools and solidifies instantly, allowing you to create a strong foundation for your designs. Easy-to-follow directions and three loops of PLA filament are included in the package, so you can begin creating right away. If you need some inspiration, you can use their 3D pen stencils to help you get started drawing. I’m pretty excited about the Eiffel Tower project myself.
As excited I am about having my own Eiffel Tower, I thought it would be best if our first foray in to the world of 3D art was something a bit more simple. My daughter is just 8 years old, and she was able to make this cute bow her very first time trying the Scribbler V3.
She obviously needs to perfect her technique, but I wanted to show you how easy it is to use right out of the box. The bow only took a minute for her to make, and she was so excited to have something she drew turn into a solid, tangible object. (She did that freehand too–no stencils.) I don’t doubt that with more practice, my daughter will be creating some really impressive designs. Guess I should go stock up on some filament!
Artists of any age or ability level will love using the Scribbler V3 3D Pen to bring their imaginations to life. It’s available in 8 different colors, and you can get your extra filament from the same company. Save $35 on your purchase of the Scribbler 3D Pen with this US Family Guide Coupon! That is so neat! I’ve never seen anything like it before.
That bow is so adorable! This pen seems like it’d be perfect for crafting and making really unique DIY gifts and decorations.
I have a grandboy who has been asking for one of these,I had hoped to been able to afford one for Christmas , but maybe next year, I love what you can do with these 3D pens.
They really are amazing. It’s like having your own handheld 3D printer!
My granddaughter would love to have this, she loves to draw.
