I Finally Found a Hoverboard that Doesn’t Scare Me, and this One Turns into a Go Cart
Did you hear that?
Oh, that was just the sound of calendar pages flying by at Mach speed. Don’t ask me how it’s December already, but it’s here, and that means I’m quickly running out of time to do my Christmas shopping. For your sake, I hope you’re further along than I am.
I was thinking the other day about how to buy gifts for my family this year, and it occurred to me that it might be nice to find something the entire family can enjoy. Of course we’ll do individual gifts, but I love the idea of a fun present that will give us all something to share or an activity to do together.
I also have a suggestion for the perfect toy to bring the family together: the Jetson V6 Hoverboard!
It’s been a couple of years now since hoverboards came onto the scene, which means designers have had a lot of time to refine and perfect. The commitment to innovation is obvious with Jetson products, especially this next-generation model.
The Jetson V6 Hoverboard is the first of its kind, because it is controlled by a smart phone app. It’s also equipped with several awesome features (including Bluetooth capability). You can play music on the board’s built-in speakers, customize the board’s LED lights, and you can select different modes based on ability and experience (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Users can also manually set the max speed, as well as customize the sensitivity and driving force/acceleration of the hoverboard, which is an excellent way to ensure the safety of younger riders. It runs up to 10 miles per hour, so once you’re comfortable riding, you can really zip around!
The smart phone app does more than just guide the hoverboard. As listed above, you can listen to music on the Jetson V6’s built-in speakers, so your favorite music can accompany you on your ride. The app also offers the option to map your rides, so you’ll know exactly where and how far you’ve gone. You could even use that feature to compare distance and speed, and compete with friends.
The Jetson V6 runs on a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and you can ride up to 15 miles on a single charge. The charger is included with the hoverboard, and it has one of my favorite features on any electronic gadget: it automatically shuts off when the battery is fully charged.
As for safety, in addition to manually controlling the speed and acceleration of the hoverboard, you’ll also enjoy Active Balance Technology. The Jetson V6 is built with a malleable torsion mechanism to help the board self-balance. Because it’s already balanced when you take it out of the box, you’ll instantly feel steady on the board. You can also use the hoverboard safety stick (sold separately) to provide more comfort and stability. It extends to 42” and collapses to 20”, so it’s great for any height.
Finally, you can turn your Jetson V6 Hoverboard into a go-cart with the JetKart accessory. It’s a seating and steering device that easily attaches to your hoverboard and allows you to drive it like a cart and race your friends. Because the hoverboard has such sensitive steering and turns on a dime anyway, turning it into a go cart is easy and super fun.
The hoverboards are available in blue, black, red, and white, so there’s a color that will suit anyone. The Jetson V6 Hoverboard, Safety Stick, and JetKart are available exclusively at Target.com, so you can easily shop online and take advantage of free holiday shipping. Take a look at the options and let us know which color is your favorite!

I can’t get it for this Christmas because we all chipped in for my son in law to build the grandson’s an amazing play structure with slides, swings, a fort, zipline, etc and after a week in the hospital the funds are busted, but this is definitely going on the list for a birthday or maybe Easter. Thanks so very much, I do believe my grandsons would flip the heck out over this.

Oh wow this is really neat. These still kind of freak me out. I do see our neighbor kids on them all day!
Wow!! Looks like one even I could use lol!! Love the smartphone app that works with it!! Genius!!
That does sound like fun! I have never tried a hoverboard, but I’m pretty much a grown-up kid so I know I’d love it.

That’s pretty neat that it turns into a gocart! That makes me think I might be less likely to fall off!

I have read about these. They seem like a lot of fun, but I’m not sure my mama heart is ready! Good research to help make an informed decision.
I really like that it has the handle. That makes it seem so much safer than the others. Thanks for the post.
These look like they are so much fun and I love that it comes with a safety stick. I would have to fight my grandchildren over it.
Looks like fun. I bet my girls would be into it. Clever modularity, too. And here in Chicago, they might even be able to use it outside in about 4 months… 😛
I have never used a hoverboard and my daughter is too young to use it, but I’m sure my brother would love it! The possibility to turn the hoverboard into a go-cart sounds really fun!
I’ve seen a few people on these hover boards and they look really cool. I am not brave enough to get on one of them myself as I’m sure I’d break something.

I’ve seen my neighbors kid use this and it looks like so much fun! Is it inappropriate to use this as a 30-year old?!?! Hahaha. I would love this.

What a cool idea that you can turn this into a Go-Kart!! I love getting my kids toys that have more than one function- this is perfect for that. Plus, the music feature is really neat too.
I totally agree with you, I would be scared to try one of these boards too. I do like the stick thing on it so you can control it some what more.
