Fairy Tales Hair Care for Kids Review & Giveaway!
If you’re a regular reader, you probably know that I love natural and organic products–especially when they’re products I’m using on my kids. Well, I have another great find to share with you today! Since 1999, Fairy Tales Hair Care has been committed to creating natural hair care products for families. This NJ-based company began with its Rosemary Repel line, the first line of natural hair care products proven to help prevent head lice using organic herbs and natural plant extracts, and has since expanded to include a variety of other hair solutions and even natural bug repellants.
As I mentioned, their formulas are created with all natural ingredients and do not contain any harsh chemicals, pesticides, toxins, parabens, or sulfates. Those of you who are concerned about allergies will be happy to know that they are also dairy, gluten, and nut free. Fairy Tales Hair Care really is safe for the entire family, so I was super excited to test them out.
My daughter’s fine hair is prone to tangling, and I absolutely loathe the painful combing sessions that it causes. The No More Knots line consists of several products that are meant to condition and detangle unruly hair, so it was just the right one for us to try. We received the Super-Charge Detangling Shampoo, the Detangling Conditioner, and the Energizing Leave-in Conditioner.
Super-Charge Detangling Shampoo – Gently cleanses and detangles with jojoba, aloe vera, and vitamins B & E. The first time we used this, my daughter went crazy over the scent, and I don’t blame her. It’s yummy! Just lather up a small amount of this shampoo, do a quick rinse, and you’re on your way to tangle-free hair.
Detangling Conditioner – Blended with rosemary, cherry bark, aloe vera, and chamomile to condition the hair and make it soft, shiny, and healthy looking. This conditioner is very rich and doesn’t require much product to get the job done, yet it doesn’t leave a greasy build up. You can leave this on for a few minutes for extra conditioning, but this makes my daughter’s hair soft and manageable without even doing that. I’m always running out of conditioner for myself, so I might need to borrow some of this!
Energizing Leave-in Conditioner – Nourishes hair with moisture rich ingredients like passion flower, cherry bark, and wheat proteins that help soften and detangle the hair and eliminate frizz. I’ve mostly been using this one on myself! My fine, wavy hair likes to spend its time being frizzy, and this has really helped to smooth down the mess. A small amount applied to the length of my hair does the trick, and it doesn’t weight it down at all. Fairy Tales also suggests using this before and after swimming to help eliminate chlorine, so you might want to keep this one in mind with summer/pool season approaching.
See! Beautiful, shiny, tangle-free hair that was achieved without any toxic ingredients. After using these No More Knots products from Fair Tales Hair Care, my daughter’s hair is very easy to comb through. We’re both happy that post-bathtime hair combing is now a more pleasant task, and we just love how soft and pretty her hair is. It smells great too!
