Back in December, I introduced you to Ellore Femme makeup brushes and told you about a fabulous deal for Game On Mom readers.  They sent me a complimentary set to try out, and now that I’ve been able to use the brushes myself for a few weeks, I want to tell you more about them and share my review.

Just look at that variety!  No matter what your makeup brush needs are, I can almost promise that you’ll find a brush in this set that works for you.

I really love these brushes, and this is the most I have ever owned.  In the past, I never invested much in brushes, and tended to use the same brush for multiple purposes.  That’s okay, but it’s so much easier to have a brush dedicated for each purpose; you don’t have to deal with different types of makeup getting combined on your brush, and you can reap all the benefits of a brush specifically designed to do the job.  I just wish these brushes were labeled or something.  There are so many, I’m not always sure which is which or what to do with them all!

The bristles are a combination of animal hair and synthetic fibers, and they are really, really soft.  In fact, they’re so soft it took me a while to get used to them.  Most of my brushes in the past have been a lower quality and the bristles tend to be stiff.  I’m also pleased to say I haven’t seen any stray bristles after using these brushes, which has also been a problem with the less expensive ones I’ve owned.  The other sign of a well-made brush, in my opinion, is how well the wooden handle is attached to the metal part.  Many of my past brushes have become a little wobbly in that area, but these are definitely sturdy.

This 24 piece set also comes with a fold-up leather-like case, which is perfect for traveling with them.  You could also store your brushes in the travel case, but I prefer to keep mine in a brush jar on my vanity.  If you choose to store your brushes in a case, you’ll probably want to clean them after every use to avoid your case getting dirty with makeup residue.
