Easy, No-Bake Holiday Cookie Decorating with Sugar Bowl Bakery + Giveaway
Let me start this by making it clear that I love to bake. Cooking is something I do because I love my family, and I want them to have healthy meals every day, but baking is something I do because I enjoy it. Even as I’ve gotten older and my desire for sugary goodies has lessened, I just love whipping up a cake or a batch of cookies. I love making them, I love when the scents fill the house, and I love eating them with my family–just in smaller amounts.
That’s what I like to do. What I have time to do, however, is an entirely separate matter. I’m a working mother. There is never a point in the year when I find myself with extra time on my hands, and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how much worse it is around the holidays. Still, come Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family expects treats. Plus, there’s no shortage of Christmas parties, and you never want to show up empty handed to one of those. As much as I’d love to get fancy and give everyone desserts that I’ve made from scratch, it just isn’t always possible. That doesn’t mean I can’t give them something delicious.
If you’re in the same boat, I have a suggestion for you. Head over to your local grocer, and pick up some of Sugar Bowl Bakery‘s Madeleines, Petite Palmiers and Brownie Bites.
They’re every bit as good as homemade only they don’t require all that work. Why Sugar Bowl Bakery? Not only do they do delicious right, but they’re committment to quality ensures that you get the very best in baked goods and in customer service. And they offer both regular and organic desserts! (That’s right, I like to avoid synthetic things in my junk food just like I do in my regular food.)
Chocolatey brownies and buttery madeleines. YUM. Serve them as is, and you’ll have happy friends and family. If you’re looking to be a little more festive and impressive, you can do that too, and without much more effort. Have frosting? Marshmallows? Some fruit maybe? You’re all set.
A little frosting is all you need to make madeleines as fun as they are yummy.
And how cute are these brownie bite santa hats? They totally qualify as a health food too. (You have to give me this one. It’s Christmas.)
Have the kids help out, and you’ve got some quality family time. I asked my kids how they wanted to decorate their brownie bites, and they agreed that frosting and crushed candy canes were the way to go.
I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that myself. They’re so good! I think the kids did a pretty good job too, don’t you?
No time to bake? No problem. Sugar Bowl Bakery is here for you with a festive, fun, easy, and tasty solution. Check their where to buy page to find a retailer near you.
