A Dress for Every Bridesmaid at JJ’s House
This post is brought to you by JJ’s House.
It’s finally starting to warm up a bit where I live, and while we’re still having some really cold mornings, I can’t help but feel those first breezes of Spring rolling in. And with Spring, inevitably, comes a wave of weddings!
Finding the perfect wedding dress is hard enough, but there’s also the added stress of finding bridesmaid dresses that work for everyone. Person A needs straps, Person B can’t do low-cut, Person C prefers a one-shoulder look…well, you get the picture.
The last wedding in which I was a bridesmaid, this was a big problem. There were six of us, all varying in body shape, height, and preferences. The bride had an excellent idea, though. She chose a color (a gorgeous purple) and picked around ten different dress designs to choose from in that color. We all got to pick the dress most flattering for us individually, and even though the dresses were all different, the consistent color made things coordinate perfectly.
If you’re planning a wedding and find this idea would be right for you, I encourage you to check out the selection at JJsHouse.com. They have hundreds of dress styles to choose from, and every dress is available in a huge variety of colors. In fact, pretty much any dress you like can be done in your favorite color. Just look at this color chart!
I know it’s zoomed out way too far to read, but I just wanted to give you an idea of the huge range of options. Every fabric style has it’s own color selection, but any fabric and color could be coordinated nicely.
When you’re ready for your bridesmaids to pick their dresses, I’d suggest doing what my friend did: pick about 10 for them to choose from and let them decide what works best for them. It makes it so much easier for everyone and takes away a lot of unnecessary stress!
To get the ball rolling, here are a few of my favorite bridesmaid dresses from jjshouse.com. Remember, all these dresses come in the colors found on that huge chart, so you can customize to your heart’s content!
I love this dress! I think the cut would flatter any body type, and I love that it gives your bridesmaids a little lace and “something extra” in their dress without it being too “showy.”
At first glance, this looks like a basic strapless dress, but if you zoom in you’ll see a gorgeous ribbon flower at the waist with a small trail of ruffles. Again, this gives your girls something extra that isn’t too loud.
If you’re having a more formal wedding and want long dresses for your bridesmaids, this one-shoulder gown is perfect. It has a flower accent at the shoulder with a soft chiffon sleeve, and is a classic chiffon sheath dress below. It’s understated and elegant with a lovely accent.
This long gown has two straps, which offers a different look and perhaps more support for bustier girls. It wraps elegantly under the bust and falls into a long, flowing chiffon bottom. This dress has a long ribbon train, so I think it would be great for an especially formal wedding.
I know sometimes modesty can be a concern, whether you and/or your bridesmaids prefer to cover a bit more, or whether you’re getting married in a setting where modesty is required. But that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice! You can find dresses with sleeves at jjshouse.com, and they also have a huge array of wraps and dress jackets.
I especially love the one in the top left corner. How cute is that? I could see it being perfect with a tea length bridesmaid dress in a retro-style wedding.
If you’re planning a wedding or know someone who is, do yourself a favor and make bridesmaid dress shopping as easy as it can be. Visit www.jjshouse.com to see their variety of bridesmaid dresses. You can also find alternative bridal gowns there, too, along with mother of the bride, special occasion, and prom dresses. They even have accessories and shoes, as well as wedding favors and supplies for your reception. It could literally be a one-stop-shop for you!

I really love the selection. So much nicer than some of the dresses I’ve had to wear for weddings 🙂
I’m sure my wife would have loved knowing about this back when we got married. I know she said finding dresses for everyone else was harder than finding her own!
the dresses are very pretty, I really like the green color.
I’m so thankful I only had 3 bridesmaids! It definitely made it easier! Although I did still have to deal with the same issues I was able to find a dress that looked great on all of them, but I did have a cap sleeve added for the 2 that wanted that extra coverage. It ended up looking great! I do like seeing the different dresses in the same color at a wedding though, I think it’s fun to let the bridesmaids kind of show their own personalities and just have them match in coloring.
I think the cut of that strapless navy dress is just gorgeous!
The emerald color is stunning for a spring wedding. Thanks for sharing!
