Don’t Pad the Problem. Cure it with Apex.
We received a complimentary Apex Device for review. All opinions are 100% our own.
At Game On Mom, we don’t shy away from the “embarrassing” issues. We know there are things that can be difficult to talk about, so we try our best to be open and do our part to remove the stigma around health issues that affect women.
We’ve talked about bladder leakage and urinary incontinence here before, and today we have another product to share with those of you who might be experiencing this problem: the Apex.
The Apex is a product from InControl Medical, and it’s designed to restore a woman’s pelvic floor muscle. What does that mean?
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissue that span the area underneath the pelvis. Women have a unique set of problems in this area, as childbirth stretch these muscles and often weaken them. This is the kind of thing that causes bladder leakage, and unfortunately women are sometimes told this is “normal” and it remains untreated.
Of course you can wear products that help protect your clothing (and dignity) in the face of incontinence, but if you want to take a more proactive approach like I did, why not try to treat the problem instead of masking it?
Apex is a non-invasive, non-surgical, home-based treatment device that allows you to restore and strengthen your pelvic floor and help stop urinary incontinence. It automatically tones the muscles using mild muscle stimulation and an active-resistance balloon to exercise the correct muscles every time. A strong, toned pelvic floor muscle not only decreases issues with leakage and incontinence, but it also improves sexual health.
Has anyone ever told you to do Kegels? This is sort of like that, but it ensures that you’re doing them correctly (a surprising number of people do them incorrectly, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I was doing them properly myself). The Apex inflates to fit every woman perfectly, and each Apex toning session only takes 5-10 minutes to complete. You should do it daily until you reach your desired level of pelvic floor tone, and then you can reduce your Apex Kegel sessions to 1 or 2 times per week to maintain your strength. Really, it’s just like exercising any other muscle group.
Just to recap, the Apex can help you achieve:
- Improved vaginal strength and tone
- Improved bladder control so you won’t leak while laughing, coughing, sneezing, or exercising
- Enhanced intimacy
- Improved pelvic organ support
- Faster recovery after childbirth
The Apex includes an instructional video, which makes figuring out how to use the device a snap. I’ve been excited to use it, because I am beyond ready to get my leakage under control. Incorporating the brief Apex sessions into my daily routine hasn’t been any trouble, and I’m already sneezing with more confidence! My only complaint is that it’s run on batteries only, so you can’t plug it in or recharge it. It requires 4 AAA batteries, which are not included. On, there’s one more bonus: Apex is made in the USA!
If you want to learn more about the Apex device and what it can do for you, make sure to visit Dontpadtheproblem.com; it’s really informative and it has a handy informational video as well. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter. Don’t pad the problem. Cure it!

I saw this and wondered how it works. I’m sure I’m doing Kegels incorrectly but definitely could use some pelvic floor toning. Thanks for sharing on such a private subject!
