Celebrate the First Ever My Little Pony Friendship Day + Giveaway! #MLPFriendshipDay
A big thank you to Hasbro for providing the information and prize featured in this post. All opinions are 100 % my own.
July 30th is the first ever #MLPFriendshipDay, and My Little Pony wants you to join in the celebration! They’ve partnered with generationOn for an international campaign designed to encourage kids to make a mark on friendship by completing acts of kindness and volunteering. At MyLittlePony.Hasbro.com/FriendshipDay, you’ll find loads of simple and fun activities to help you and your children celebrate Friendship Day just like our favorite My Little Pony characters would.
Each Pony friend represents a different Element of Harmony, and each Element is associated with a project theme, such as Health & Wellness, Homelessness & Poverty, Hunger, Education, Animal Welfare, and Environment. This past weekend, we decided to get a head start on our own celebration by being like honest Applejack and acting as a friend to the environment. We took a trip over to one of our favorite parks, and armed with sunscreen, gloves, and a garbage bag, we collected trash and and made our park cleaner and safer for all its visitors.
This was such a simple way to get my daughter involved, and she was so proud of the work she’d done. When we got home, she couldn’t wait to look up what other activities. She began by reading a book to her little brother, and she’s got plans to start a cool hat collection for kids with cancer.
Head to MyLittlePony.Hasbro.com/FriendshipDay for more project ideas and resources for teaching children how they can make a difference and impact their communities through service, caring, and giving. Grab some family and friends and get involved! Which project will you pick?
You could win a My Little Pony Friendship Day Prize Package! This prize has a $50 retail value and includes:

My daughter would love it!
My little girl would love the animal welfare activity. She would also like the environment activities.
I’d like to do the Playground or Park Cleanup activity with my daughter.
I would like to do the Homelessness & Poverty activity with my nieces
We will do the Help conserve energy by turning off the lights! activity.
I would like to try some of these wonderful activities with my grand children. I would probably start with homelessness and poverty activity.
I love the Hunger project! To collect healthy breakfast items so families in need can start off the day with a healthy meal! I love hearing that My Little Pony is so encouraging to teach kids how they can participate in helping their community!
I’d like to try “My Little Pony Pop Cutie Mark Magic Princess Celestia Design-A-Pony Kit” as a project with the children who will definitely love it.
I really like the “Kindness” activities. I think the easiest for most children would be spending time with their pet. Yes, they always seem to be “right there” but I like the idea of giving them special and undivided attention. 🙂
I would like my grand kids to learn more about the environment and what they can do to help it so I would choose Learn more about the environment and how we can keep the planet healthy.
