Build to Battle with Snap Ships by Playmonster
In search of a gift for the kids that will get them away from those screens? Consider a toy that incorporates two things they love: space and building. Our friends over at Playmonster have done just this with their collection of Snap Ships.
Snap Ships is a line of building toys designed for kids 8 and up. Each kit contains a ship or vehicle and detailed instructions on how to use the interlocking cubes to build a sturdy and durable toy. Unlike some other building toys, once assembled, Snap Ships really stay together. This means they can be used for some serious game play, and with real shooting weapons, your kids will enjoy battle after battle.
You get multiple build options with every set, and you can easily build and rebuild to your heart’s delight. There are several sets available right now, and the pieces are all interchangeable, so there’s an opportunity to get creative here.
Playmonster has partnered with Wind Sun Sky Entertainment on an animated series that explores the story behind the Snap Ships universe. Watch it any time on YouTube.
There is also a Snap Ships app to go along with the toys. You can also use it to keep track of your collection and get new building ideas for the sets you have. We haven’t actually done this since my personal goal is to keep my kids detached from devices when possible, and my kids love Snap Ships as they are. What I do like about the idea is that with the app and the animated series, they’ve created more than a simple building toy. There’s a whole Snap Ships world for kids to immerse themselves in.
