Bring Magic into Your Home with the New Amazon Original Series “Wishenpoof”
This post is brought to you by KidzVuz and Amazon, and we thank them for providing early access to Wishenpoof. All opinions are 100% my own.
I can’t wait to tell you about an awesome new show for kids called Wishenpoof!
Wishenpoof is a brand new Amazon Original Series launching for Amazon Prime members in the US, UK, and Germany on August 14th. This animated preschool series, available for Prime members, is created by Angela C. Santomero (of Blue’s Clues and Super Why! fame) and features the voices of Jason Priestley (yes, from Beverly Hills, 90210!) and his daughter Ava.
The series follows lead character Bianca on fun, magical adventures that teach lessons through imaginative play and inspire kids to solve problems in creative ways. Wishenpoof, along with the other great Amazon Original Kids Series, supports children as lifelong creative learners and helps foster the skills and mindset needed to lead purpose-filled lives.
Bianca has the ability to use “wish magic” – she can wish for things, and poof! They happen! This leads to great fun as Bianca and her friends learn and grow, but there’s more to the show than just magic wishes. Bianca learns the importance of not relying solely on her special gift, and explores how to empower her friends to think creatively and believe in themselves. She’s a fabulous role model for kids, as she teaches them to take other people’s perspectives and make good, supportive choices.
Wishenpoof actually incorporates the “Seven Essential Life Skills” framework from Families and Work Institute President Ellen Galinsky, which are designed to help children reach their full potential and discover a passion for learning. The framework includes executive function life skills like focus and self-control, perspective taking, communicating, creativity, critical thinking, taking on challenge, and self-directed engaging learning. I am a sucker for anything that is both fun and educational, and this series totally fits that role.
I was lucky enough to watch Wishenpoof early, and let me tell you: it’s seriously great. The 3D animation is adorable and so expressive, and the characters couldn’t be cuter. The colors are vibrant and fun, and I just know your preschool-aged kids are going to absolutely love it. Bianca is a sweet character who loves her friends, parents, and little brother. Bob, her sidekick and part-time stuffed bear, is a true comedian. Bianca’s parents are loving, supportive, and encouraging, and her friends are a great cast of characters with diverse personalities.
Both my daughter and my son have quickly fallen in love with the show. My girl loves Penelope and her pickles, while my boy loves singing along with Bianca. With their fairy wings strapped on and their glittery wands in hand, my little ones have been trying their hardest to make some magic happen right here in our home, and they’re having so much fun wishing!
I’m sure you and your kids will love Wishenpoof as much as we do, so I hope you’ll add it to your Must Watch list! All 13 episodes launch for Amazon Prime members on August 14th. I know many of you already subscribe to Amazon Prime, but if you don’t, you can try Amazon Prime with a 30-day free trial. Wishenpoof will also be available as part of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, which is a subscription service designed for kids and available exclusively on Amazon devices.
What are you waiting for? Mark your calendars, make sure you’re signed up for Amazon Prime, and get ready to check out a show that’s sure to be an instant hit. You can preview the first episode of Wishenpoof for free!
