We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s one that I never skip. You’ll almost always find me drinking down a smoothie or dining on an egg dish. My egg intake is not limited to breakfast though. Lunch, dinner, snacktime…the potential for egg enjoyment lasts all day long. Yeah, I probably eat too many eggs, so the last the I need is a way to make them even easier to prepare, but I couldn’t help myself. I just had to try the Rollie Eggmaster.
The Rollie is vertical cooker designed to make breakfast (or in my case, all meals) easier, faster, and less messy. Ditch the frying pan and use the Rollie too cook up a quick cylindrical breakfast! It might sound a bit silly, but it sure is delicious. It comes with a book full of recipes, but the meal I have been making most often is a little creation of my own. I mix up an egg with chopped spinach, shredded cheese, and ground flaxseed meal (my secret to low cholesterol), pour it in, and my new favorite breakfast is ready in about 7 minutes.
How much fun is that? My kids get a real kick out of using the Rollie. They absolute love watching the food eject itself from the cooker, and I’ve discovered they’ll eat just about anything if it’s shaped like a tube. Seriously, they’ve never consumed more spinach in their lives. One word of advice: don’t overfill the Rollie. I didn’t entirely follow the instructions the first time I tried this, and I had the tiniest little explosion as a result of pouring in way too much egg product. I really wish I had been prepared to take a picture when that happened; it was kind of hilarious.
I find myself using this quite often to cook up a single egg for a snack. As I mentioned, I like my eggs (I’m a big fan of protein), and this is so much easier than bothering with the hard boiled variety. If you want to get a bit fancier, you have lots of options. You can create all kind of treats with this unique kitchen gadget, such as an egg in a blanket, breakfast burritos, and even french toast!
It’s not just for breakfast either. Use the Rollie to make pizza sticks, burger dogs, pb & j, and yummy desserts like Cinnamon Rollies and Chocolate Banana Rollies. All of those recipes are included with the unit along with a special cleaning tool, 5 skewers, and a packer (very useful for that french toast).
Check out the video to see how easy and versatile the Rollie Eggmaster really is:
