Blue Introduces Lola: Headphones Designed to Reveal New Detail in Your Favorite Music
I have a love/hate relationship with headphones. I’ve always loved having them, but it’s been years since I’ve worn them. Why? Because they’re uncomfortable.
I’m a huge music lover, and I’ve always enjoyed having some kind of headphones that provide a great sound and block out background noise. Unfortunately, if you’ve ever worn real, over-the-ear headphones, you’ll already know that there are several issues that usually get in the way of comfort. Sometimes the foam ear pads don’t fit over your ears, or don’t stay in place well and shift if you’re moving around while wearing them. Sometimes the top bar that wraps over your head is too much to deal with (I have one pair of earphones that are so heavy on the bottom, the top bar ends up laying hard against my head and hurting me). Sometimes the headphones are so tight they give you a headache. And sometimes their real focus is on “fashion,” with both comfort and sound quality taking low priority.
Anyway, you see what I mean. It’s difficult to find good headphones that have the sound quality I’m looking for and also fit well and are consistently comfortable. But look no further: I’ve found them. Lola is here to save the day!
Lola is a new headphone by Blue, a company that has been creating exceptional audio gear for elite artists for over 20 years.
Lola headphones are unlike anything else you’ll see, because they’re engineered and designed from the inspiration of Formula One racecar suspensions. Talk about unique! Most headphones use a spring-loaded headband, but not Lola. Blue has invented a multi-jointed headband that adapts to any head shape, providing literally hours of comfortable use. Also, the height adjustment feature is great. Unlike other headphones that require you to pull the earcups up or down to adjust height, Lola features adjustable pivoting arms that let the earcups “float” into place and move with you. The fit is truly customizable, and with a foam cushion at the top of the headband, it’s truly comfortable, too.
As for sound, wow. Thanks to Lola’s unique design, the earcups fit perfectly around your ears to seal in the sound and keep out the background noise. If you’re interested in the tech specs, these headphones feature large 50mm premium drivers and large, airtight, 100% sealed enclosures that maximize the volume of air around the drivers. Put plainly, that makes for a strong platform to create a good sound that’s warm, full-range, and never harsh.
Thanks to Lola, I am officially spoiled. Like I said, I hadn’t worn over-the-ear headphones in years and had almost given up hope of ever finding some that were just right. Thank goodness I tried these! It took me a few tries to get the fit just right, but once I did, I was totally hooked and didn’t want to take them off. They really do seal out sounds from the “outside” world, and the sound they provide is amazing. All of my favorite music sounds even better, and I can wear them for hours while I’m working during the day with no discomfort at all. They actually work so well, I can’t wear them when I’m alone with the kids. They seal out sounds so well, my kids could set off dynamite and I wouldn’t know until I heard sirens. But when my husband is home to watch and entertain the kids, and I’m having some me-time with a good red wine, fancy cheese, and some music…all bets are off and my Lola headphones are on.
I’ll issue one disclaimer: the cord included features controls and a microphone for iPads and iPhones. I’m an Android user, so those buttons don’t do anything for me. The pause button works with my Android phone, but the others don’t. Otherwise, I have no complaints whatsoever.

I could use these around the house lately. Lol, with 3 kids and a husband I need a bit of quiet me time. Plus, love the foam cushion.
I wear earbuds all the time. I bet these sound much better.
It’s been so long since I’ve worn real headphones. These sound exciting.
My husband really would love one of these, but so would I!
My husband would like these, I will have to show them to him.

These headphones are amazing! I actually love over the ear headphones, but only when they are super cushy and comfortable, like these. 🙂
Thanks for the info! I love collecting head phones, I always like to have the best!

I have a hard time with headphones hurting my ears. However this look big and comfy enough that I don’t think they would hurt my ears.
Love that they are super comfy and totally noise blocking!!
I love listening to music and these would be great.
Funny that you say you have a love /hate relationship with headphones –so do I. I can’t stand those tiny annoying ear buds–these look super comfy. I will have to check them out

These are nice looking headphones, but I prefer wireless.
These seem like supreme headphones.
Comfortable and headphones don’t always go in the same sentence… so I was very happy to read that in your post about these. Glad that a company is finally getting that right!
I never use head phones, so I don’t know anything about it.
I have used all sorts of headphones from over the ear to ear buds. Nothing is comfortable for me to wear. I would love to try a pair of these.
I haven’t used head phones in ages. My husband does sometimes.
I’ve never seen this before. I’d like to try it.
I’ve been looking for some new headphones so I’ll have to check these out!
