A Better Breakfast with Bakery on Main + Giveaway
How’s the weather where you live? I wish sun and warmth for you. I don’t want to say it’s been rough here, but maybe you heard about a little winter storm called Jonas? We got about 18 inches of snow, and aside from that, it’s just been a cold, miserable winter. I wish sun and warmth for myself too.
No matter what that groundhog says, we know it will be a while before Spring arrives, and in the meantime we’re dealing with cold mornings. If there’s one thing I can’t abide, it’s a bowl of cold cereal for the kids’ breakfast on a cold winter’s day. That just won’t cut it.
I want to give my kids some good, warm, comfort food for breakfast on those cold days, and Bakery On Main’s oatmeal is the perfect option!
Bakery On Main has a full line of delicious, gluten-free, non-GMO breakfast products, including Happy Oats and Instant Oatmeal.
The Instant Oatmeal was an instant hit at my house. Some mornings go more smoothly than others and offer more time to fix breakfast. Others…well…you know how it is. Some mornings require fast breakfast, and instant oatmeal is the perfect solution. I love that I’ve found one made with good ingredients! You can fix this oatmeal incredibly fast, and it provides a delicious, filling, warm, comforting breakfast to start the day. It comes in yummy flavors that the kids and I all like, including blueberry, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, and maple multi-grain muffin. They’re delicious as-is, but you can also make your own favorite flavor by starting with the plain instant oatmeal and adding your choice of ingredients. Personally, I like to add raw honey, cinnamon, a dash of pink Himalayan salt, and raisins to the plain oatmeal. It’s delicious and satisfying, and it gives me total control of how much sugar (and what kind) goes into my breakfast.
Happy Oats are equally delicious, and are great for those mornings when you have a few extra minutes to enjoy breakfast. These are prepared on the stove top and come in three varieties: Happy Rolled Oats, Happy Quick Oats, and Happy Steel Cut Oats. Each resealable bag holds 24 oz. of oats and stands up straight for easy, convenient storage. I’ve been using the Happy Oats Rolled Oats quite often, and I dress them up the same way I do the plain instant oats. Delicious! (Here’s a secret tip, too: I use the rolled oats in place of breadcrumbs when I make meatloaf, and it’s excellent. I’m going to try them in meatballs next). Happy Oats Steel Cut oats are also yummy; they’re nutty, chewy, and hearty, and I love to cook them when I have the time (they take about 20 minutes).
For a handy on-the-go snack or for mornings when you don’t mind a cold cereal, you should try Bakery On Main’s Gluten Free Granola. It’s more of a cereal, really, and totally delicious. The Nutty Cranberry Maple flavor tastes and smells like a bakery in a bag. So good.
Bakery On Main also has plenty of other delicious breakfast options, so make sure to visit BakeryOnMain.com to get a look at them all!
Enter to win 3 bags of Happy Oats–one of each variety! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and older. Ends 2/21/16. Good luck!
