Back to School Deal on Boise Paper + $50 Office Depot GC Giveaway
We’ve been doing a lot of back-to-school shopping around here. Personally, I love it. I have a strong affinity for school supplies, so I’m always excited when August rolls around and I can get knee deep in new pencils, notebooks, and backpacks.
Among all the shiny new school supplies on the shelf lies one very important product, and I’m noticing a growing indifference toward it. Which product? Paper. More and more, we are seeing paper replaced in the classroom by digital options. Yes, digital has its advantages, but I think many of the benefits of paper are overlooked. For one thing, I’m a firm believer in taking handwritten notes. Typing might be faster, but it’s been proven that taking notes with pen and paper actually help students develop a stronger understanding of the material, and encourages critical thinking and listening skills that aren’t fully utilized when typing notes verbatim. That in itself is enough proof for me, but there are other advantages to paper. For younger students, practicing and learning good handwriting is of the utmost importance, both for fully exercising certain regions of the brain and improving fine motor skills. Young students will also gain much needed development of creative skills by drawing on paper and using paper for crafts. There are so many more reasons to choose paper, and I’ve decided that not only will I make sure my kids go to school with extra paper, I’ll also do my part to help out my kids’ teachers by providing paper for the classroom stock.
What type of paper should we choose? I like Boise Paper. While students often need ruled notebooks, we’ve already looked at a wide variety of uses for non-ruled paper (not to mention all those book reports and papers that need to be printed). Not all paper is created equally, and that’s one reason I like Boise: they have a strong focus on quality and sustainability. Making sure that our paper is environmentally sustainable is a non-negotiable for me when purchasing, so I don’t even have to think twice about selecting Boise.
Specifically, Boise’s Polaris premium multipurpose paper is a great choice. It’s versatile, bright-white, and 99.99% jam free (nothing like a jammed printer to ruin a day). Polaris paper features ColorLok® Technology, which results in more vivid colors, bolder blacks, works with both inkjet and laser printers, and even offers faster drying time (perfect for those last minute print-jobs before rushing out the door). Another thing I particularly like about Boise’s Polaris paper is that each 8.5 x 11” ream features Box Tops for Education clips, which means you can help earn money for schools! Before I tried Boise, I would have grabbed whichever paper I saw first, but I’m sold on Boise. It will definitely be my first choice when I’m buying paper. Luckily you can find Boise pretty much anywhere, including your local Office Depot.
When you’re ready to stock up on some Boise paper or to help your children’s teachers build up their classroom supply, head over to OfficeDepot.com. Through September 30, 2016, you can take advantage of the 2 For $10 deal – that’s 2 reams of the Boise Polaris paper for just $10! This is a fantastic deal, because reams are $9.99 each at their regular price. The discount code will be automatically applied when you add 2 Polaris reams to your cart. This deal is online-only.

I agree with you that learning to write is important and with all the technology that is going away and I love hand written notes and things and still do it for myself. I even still write out my bill in a bill planner each month just is easier for me. I recently just started using Boise in my home and the quality is much better to me! Office Depot always has a deal I need going on.
