Artisan Nut Thins: Gluten-Free Goodness
Let me start by saying that I do not live a gluten-free lifestyle, but because of all of the negatives associated with gluten, I’m not opposed to reducing my intake. Plus, gluten-free products often have other qualities I like (natural ingredients, no HFCS, etc), so that’s a bonus. I was offered a new line of premium wheat-free and gluten-free crackers from Blue Diamond, called Artisan Nut Thins, and I was pleased to give them a try.
Crackers that don’t contain wheat? That’s right. These are made with rice flour, almonds, seeds, and other natural ingredients. They’re definitely crunchier than most regular crackers, but they are so tasty! They currently offer three different flavors:
- Flax Seeds – Provides the health benefits of flax seeds, including 400 mg of ALA omega-3 per serving.
- Mutli-Seeds – Contains quinoa, flax, millet, amaranth, sesame, and black sesame, for a distinct blend of flavors and 21 grams of whole-grain goodness per serving.
- Sesame Seeds – You get the delicious sesame flavor with 3 grams of fiber in each serving.
I really can’t decide which I like best, so I’ll have to say that my favorite is whichever one I happen to be eating when you ask me!
The Artisan Nut Thins are perfect for dipping and they go great with spreads. You can find some recipes that pair well on the Blue Diamond web site, like the one for their Nutty Cheddar Spread or Avocado Bean Dip. I’m guilty of snacking on these right from the box, and the kids have been helping me. We had a box of each flavor, and they were wiped out in no time. Snacks in our house are usually fresh fruits and veggies, but I feel okay letting my children munch on these crackers knowing that they’re getting all the benefits of healthy nuts and seeds.
Artisan Nut Thins are most definitely on my list of delicious things, and I will be buying them in the future. Visit BlueDiamond.com to learn more. Thanks to Naturally Savvy and Blue Diamond for providing these crackers for me to review.
