There is one thing I do like about the closing of a summer season, though. I absolutely love back to school shopping. Stick me in the middle of a school supplies aisle at the store, and I am giddy, even if the row is jam packed with cranky kids and tired parents. Fresh pens and pencils, the smell of a new notebook, the feeling of crisp, untouched paper…I loved it as a young student, and I still love it as an adult. It’s made with an aluminium top cover that provides a sleek look and stylish protection, and it has an amazing battery that provides all-day power (it has up to 7.5 hours of battery life, which means your kids could charge it overnight and not have to worry about packing a power cable in their backpack). The laptop features a 15.6” full HD display, has 4GB of memory and a 128GB SSD drive (so there’s plenty of storage space available for all your files and programs), and it also has an array of ports for USB, HDMI, headphones, speakers, and ethernet connections. I have also downloaded a few games, and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised at how well it runs them. ***Update:  I’d just like to let you know that about a week after the warranty on this machine expired, it suddenly stopped charging.  And customer service?  Good luck with that.  I can’t even confirm that they have any.  I did like this laptop for the price, but now I can’t recommend the brand, as I don’t feel they value their customers.
