You’ll Go Bananas for This New Colorful, Squeezable, Scented Collectible Toy!

My kids are going bananas over a new line of collectible toys from Cepia.  They’re called…well…they’re called Bananas!  (Sorry; I had to do it.)  Cepia sent me some complimentary bunches to try out, and I’m happy to tell you all about our experience.

Bananas toys look colorful and smell sweet, so kids love them before they even get them out of the packaging.

I’ll give you one guess at what you’re supposed to do with a Banana.  Give up?  Peel it!  Inside, you’ll find a surprise Crushie character and some fun accessories, including two mini squeezable friends, gemstone stickers for decorating the Crushie or the Banana, a collector sheet with character stickers, and a hanging vine to display your Crushie friends.

There are 24 different Crushies characters to collect.  If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll peel open your Banana to find a rare or even an ultra-rare Crushie!  We didn’t get any rares in our bunches, but we did get some super cute Crushies, like Lacy Lizard, Teresa Tiger, and my personal favorite, Pawka Penguin.  Such sweet faces!

Don’t forget the gemstones.  Crushies are pretty cute just the way they are, but a little extra sparkle never hurts!  And why not decorate the Banana and use the attached clip hook it onto your backpack? (But if your kids are anything like mine, there might not be any room left.)  My daughter came up with her own plan:  she adorned her bananas with the pretty gemstones, and then she applied character stickers to each banana.  Now each Crushie has her own sparkly Bananas house.   The Bananas are easily resealable, so yes, you can use the Bananas to store the Crushies and other little toys.  You can even connect the Bananas at the top so that the bunches stay together.  It’s fun for them and nice and neat for me.

My son and my daughter both enjoyed opening their Bananas and finding out what surprise was inside each one.  Now they’re busy playing with their new friends, creating personalities for each one, and giving them playful squeezes.  They both want more of course.  My daughter is just dying to find the jellyfish and the rare unicorn, while my son is hoping for the spider.  Their ambitions don’t end their though.  They haven’t even finished collecting this set, and they’re already discussing what they might find in the next series!
