Super Simple Learning DVD Review and Giveaway
A complimentary Super Simple Songs DVD was received for the purposes of review. All opinions contained in this post are honest and my own.
Once upon a time, there was an adorable baby girl who refused to eat solid foods. She would play with her food, throw her food, and spit out her food, but she would not swallow her food. Advice was sought from doctors, and absolutely none of it worked. Time passed. The adorable baby girl became slightly less adorable as she grew older but didn’t gain any weight.
When all else fails, I say try something more fun. Basically, I decided to distract her with entertaining sounds and visuals while I shoved pureed carrots into her mouth. (Yes, I know that’s the “wrong” way, but desperate times call for desperate measures…and it totally worked.) This was how I first became acquainted with the videos of Super Simple Learning.
I rolled her high chair over to the computer at mealtimes and made YouTube our best friend. We watched videos and sang songs together while she ate all of the fruits and vegetables I put in front of her. Of course, some coaxing was necessary at first, but we entirely owe our mealtime successes to those videos. I am very grateful that we discovered those Super Simple Songs!
What makes them so special? They’re colorful. They’re singable. They’re silly. I’ll show you an example, and you would not believe what a huge hit this particular video has been in our home.
Catchy, isn’t it? This one might get stuck in your head, but I bet you won’t even mind. All of their songs are equally as entertaining, and many of them are educational too. Super Simple Learning taught my daughter the days of the week when she was barely old enough to say them. My kids’ favorite? Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. All kids like that song, of course, but the Super Simple Learning video really makes this version special. The cutest little owl and a very sweet star will have your children hooked the first time they see it. Whether the songs are classics that we all know and love or their own originals, each Super Simple Song is perfectly paced for little listeners. It’s really no surprise that their YouTube videos have been viewed more than a billion times.
Super Simple Songs are available on DVD now too! You get 15 of their best songs, including popular titles such as Bingo, Five Little Monkeys, and the Alphabet song–all in one non-Internet dependent place. The quality is excellent (better than the YouTube videos), and my kids absolutely love being able to watch their favorite songs any time and any place they want. We’ve seriously been watching these videos for years, and they still enjoy them as much as ever. This fun DVD is sure to be a favorite for even more years to come. I don’t doubt that your kids will love learning and singing along to Super Simple Songs too. This DVD would make a great gift for any young learner, including those with special needs or for whom English is their second language!
My daughter definitely thinks so! You can grab your own DVD as well as books and CDs at SuperSimpleLearning.com. While you’re there, make sure you check out their free resources too. They’ve got tons of things your kids will love, like games, crafts, coloring pages, and more. Follow Super Simple Learning on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to stay up-to-date on all the fun!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter’s favorite song is Wrecking Ball. Before you judge me, she hasn’t watched the MTV yet but she heard the song on the radio. She said instantly that it was her favorite song. Now, she can sing it and has memorized the lyrics too. My 5 year old daughter’s favorite song would be Just Give me A Reason by Pink. She has also memorized the lyrics and can sing it too. 🙂
